"New tab opened" message lasts too long.

Post by wakanasakai »

In firefox for android, whenever I open a new tab, the message New tab opened shows up. That's fine, but it takes at least 5 seconds (approximately) before it goes away (sometimes longer if there's a runaway script running or if I have lots of tabs open). I can't myself find any setting in about:config that sounds like it would affect the length of time that that message is shown. Can somebody post which about:config setting I need to use (even if I need to create it) to change the display time for this message (3 seconds is long enough for me)? Thanks for your help.

You mean when you open a link in a new tab? That's hardcoded.

If true, then I may need to see if a userstyle script (for stylish) or a grease-monkey script can help. I've heard of other things in firefox where a timer is used for firefox to decide if/when to do certain things, & that those are stored as about:config settings (perhaps hidden settings for some of them).
