Firefox 43 for Android: Menu-button (3 dots) missing

Post by oliman99 »

Device: Oneplus X
SW: Oxygen 2.1.3-X
Android: 5.1.1
Firefox: v43

Option in Oxygen: capacitive buttons ENABLED.

Problem: as long as the capacitive buttons are enabled the menu button (3 dots) of firefox is not shown.
Only way to fix it is to disable capacitive buttons and use the onscreen-buttons, but of course some screen space gets lost ;(

If one of the availabke buttons is a menu button, firefox uses this to open the menu.

Look out for bug 1209967 - because the developers want to simplify the implementation and because of problems with some phones such as yours, the intention is to always show the 3-dot-menu in the future. Currently, this is scheduled for Firefox 45 (currently Aurora).

Unfortunately, I'm using FF45 for linux and am missing the 3 dots. Is there a known extension that eliminates this? I brought over all my extensions from FF40 (80+) and I'd like to avoid the hassle of disabling/restarting... over and over again.

Hi,

Actually With hardware buttons enabled on OnePlus Two you can assign additional actions to double click and long press to any of the hardware buttons, so open/close menu needs to be assigned in any way to one or more buttons.
