I am very surprised to find the Firefox Android edition remember the username of my gmail account, not the password.

How can I remove the remembered username?

I don't even know if it is the function of Firefox or Google.

I have checked the remember passwords on the browser, it doesn't remember such username at all.

Unlike desktop Firefox, one can remove it by clicking on the dropdown menu and delete it.

How can I go about it with the Firefox on Android?

Where is the moble section? I keep posting in the wrong place. I don't seem to be able to find it on the index page, index.php.

You don't have to do anything at this point. This thread has already been placed in the Mobile forum.

Did you mean to say "can't"?

If what you're seeing is just plain browser autocomplete, you can swipe away entries from the dropdown list to delete them.

Yes, you are right. I meant to say I can't.

I am still learning to use the Firefox on my Android mobile. I don't seem to be able to get a dropdown list. How to go about it? Please adivse!

Same as on desktop - click into the input box and if necessary, start typing.

However in this case it might indeed be something else - it's possible that Google is saving the e-mail address in a cookie. If you want, you can try one of the data clearing options in the settings menu (Settings -> Clear private data), although that'll delete all cookies.

I don't even get a chance to enter the email address, it just shows up and waits for the password.

Anyway, it has gone away after clearing the cookies.

Thanks a lot.
