delete pending tabs

Firefox is set up as default browser, when I open a web link in another app I get a toast and notification 'tab saved in firefox' and when I open firefox it automatically opens all pending tab(s). Suppose I clicked something I didn't want to click and now I don't want firefox to open this link. How can I delete pending open requests?

I don't know if this would work or not, but you could open the Android applications menu (most devices have a button for that) and close Firefox.

(On my phone, when I open a web link, it opens Firefox right away.)

No, it won't work - firefox remembers pending tabs even when it is not running. Actually I always quit firefox when I am not using it.
