Firefox (android) has lost its tabs

On all my devices running up to android 7 I got tabs in my browser.
My newest device is running android 9
It seems like Firefox to android 9 comes without the option of having a line of open tabs at the top??
Anyone knowing how I can get them back? I am really missing them

Nobody knows? This annoying me so much that if I can find a way to get them back - I will go to find another Browser - Sad to say

320 people have seen this post. anybody who have a newer android or IOS who got the tab bar at the top like pics 1?
Is there any "firefox-type" who can tell me if the tabs bar are supposed not to be there anymore or IF I can get it back?

I don't think I have ever seen tabs in my android FFox. I only have the little counter box on the top right. Clicking that gives a grid of thumbnails from which to choose.
