This extension changes the above from "1" to "2", but then back to "0" which is an invalid value.
I have set "permissions.default.image" to "3" in order to block web-bugs because of privacy considerations, and the extension changes this value to "2" and back to "3" . But it would be great if the author added a possibility to change the value from "3" to "1" and back, so web-bugs are blocked by default but can be allowed for specific sites.
I've just found the extension "ImgLikeOpera" which offers what I was looking for. You can configure it such way that, e.g., only images from the original site are loaded by default, but there is also an exception list where you can save those sites where you want to load, e.g., all images. Seems to work great.
Just want to say thanks for all developers! Thanks for your work!
Yesterday has received on mail T-shirt with trade mark FireFox addons developer! Many thanks! If it is fair, at all did not expect! Photos in the near future I shall distribute on the Internet.
I installed this to test it for someone else. When I uninstalled it certain images would no longer display. Examples are video thumbnails in Youtube and product images in Amazon. However, other images seemed to show up fine. I tried reinstalling Firefox (3.6.10) with no luck. Finally I reinstalled SH-image even though I don't have a personal need for it.
I just installed ImageShowHide. The instructions say "By clicking on icon on the toolbar (Or "Shift+Z" shortcut) you can simply turn on|off images on all web-pages and (optional) autoreload current page!" I do not see "icon on the toolbar"?

I found the icon when I went to customize my toolbar, but only an icon to "turn images off". Is there also an icon to turn images on?
I believe that before I installed the plug-in and when I set FF to not display images under the options tab I got an image placeholder along with the Alt text.
I tested this when I went to google.com.
Now after installing your plug-in I can’t see the image place holders.
Is it possible to get your plug-in to control image place holders?
