These are Extensions as Plugins refers to say Flash Player from Adobe and Java plugin from Oracle for example. Also this Quantum is just Firefox 57.0 currently on the Beta development channel. A version on Beta channel can get say 9 to 14 builds.
Note most people consider typing in all Caps to be the internet form of shouting at somebody.
with html5 videos there is a complex issue regarding async play (see http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic ... #p14756689 and the related ff bugs 1382574/1231886)
since fs/aps only hooks to pages containing html5 media elements it could not handle correctly cases where the element is inserted after the click, which happens mostly when players show poster and are not autoplaying at all...
this was fixed for all versions.
ex. http://demos.flowplayer.org/basics/embedded-iframe.html (notice the counter shows nothing until you click the poster...)
DblClicker cannot really be ported to we, only the part concerning links in web pages... anyways i'm not going to maintain ff specific extensions.
if you want double click for web content you can port this https://chrome.google.com/webstore/deta ... oijnhfophe with CS Foxified
or use this https://github.com/yochaym/SafeClick if you know how to work with unsigned extensions...
p.s please test the comments on (new)youtube in fore/background tabs.
I hate to admit it but my knowledge of YouTube is basically clicking on links that take me to a YouTube video. I need some guidance in getting the info you requested.

the new youtube design has 3 vertical dots as the menu button (like chrome).
if you don't have it use https://www.youtube.com/new to enable...
open any video (ex. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fregObNcHC8) in foreground/background tabs and check after you scroll down that the video comments (dynamically?) appear.
also check https://twitter.com/AC360 (where it all started...). this should stop with the new version...
