in post http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic ... #p14757322 (which is later) i've suggested you'll 'acquire' the toolbarbutton so it will be much easier for you to handle all fs functionality (especially disabling/enabling autoplay/proactive blocking per site and editing all the scripts) .
in the about:config i meant that you'll be sure to have all the default setting regarding media decoders. put 'media.' in the search so you'll have all the decoder in the list and see that there all in default state (ex media.mediasource.enabled, this is so you could have as much html5 as possible).
try to see if you get the flash or html5 context when you shift+right-click on the media.
if you can't force it to html5 try adding this filter to UBO:

Code: Select all

||www.pcworld.com/www/js/ads/jquery.lazyload-ad.js$script,domain=www.pcworld.com,important
it should stop the video but not sure about other effects...

1.4.5 should be fine (the only difference is the broken theme workaround)...

Yes i know, but i have too many buttons & i have no difficulty in opening options from the addons page, cause i dont tweak flashstopper daily.
& i have so many media references in about:config, that i might end up messing with other addon's settings or personalised settings from the past.
that would be nice if you could review the picture i've made of all my media references, edit it, & add red parenthesis for the references or reference groups
you'd like me to reset safely.

here's the picture:

& do you have an idea for a general filter implying this string ?
jquery.lazyload-ad.js$script

as if it happens in pcworld, i might face it elsewhere in the future.

Reason: made as a large thumbnail link to full size image as it was too big for img tags at 1,646px by 2,081px and breaking forum layout.

the toolbarbutton also lets you know if the site is allowed or proactive blocked and let you change the config in one click.
in proactive blocking it is sometimes needed to block the embedded site which you can't know without the button (you should try it and just disable adontbb if it doesn't help you).
your setting seems fine (you might try to enable media.mediasource.webm.enabled)
the filter is an override to an easylist allowing filter (you shoud add it to 'My Filters')
do you get the flash or the html5 player? does the filter help any?

No, i still don't see the html player context menu on pcworld..

The filter works.

Can you still propose me a general filter for all domains that face this string >
jquery.lazyload-ad.js$script

so that i don't have to do it site by site if they reuse that technique..

to whom it may concern...

uploaded new flashstopper versions fs-1.4.7b1 fs-e10s-2.4.7b2 to the dev channel on AMO
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... sions/beta
for improved handling of html5 video.

@Elhem Enohpi this should fix the vimeo issue.
@streetwolf corresponding as-0.99 is in the newversions.zip.
@delicacy the jwplayer (topsante) workaround is not included.

I can't add it in userhandler anyways cause it needs a rewriting of the script.
So i guess i won't update flashstopper until you put the topsante fix in the handler
or provide me a userhandler script

hi delicacy,

it won't get into the release because it's only an issue with flash & 7.8.7 jwplayer version (in html5 it keeps spinning)
while flash is on the way out & later jwplayer version do stop correctly (and probably next versions of PM will get the html5 for you).
anyways hopefully there won't be a many more releases...
try this link and let me know if you get the html5 player & if stops correctly for you

Nothing but the browser's submenu functions on ctrl shift right click
& on right click: "powered by jwplayer 7.12.4
flash version 25"

& with flash disabled:
Error loading player: No playable sources found
