I've searched and searched the web, including here as well as at Gomita's "support" site and the pdf tutorial it links to, but I can find no source of tech support for the error that I ALWAYS get from both ScrapBook as well as ScrapBook+, which reads:
"ScrapBook ERROR: Failed to add resource to datasource. TypeError: cont is null"
Scrapbook used to work fine, but then my hard disk crashed several months ago. When I restored the lost files from a backup, this problem began and neither scrapbook nor scrapbook+ ever worked again. Everything else works perfectly: Scrapbook is the one and only thing that still will not work!
I'm a fairly knowledgeable user and I've tried uninstalling then re-installing ScrapBook as well as ScrapBook+ (I know that you can't have both installed at the same time), but no matter what I do, I ALWAYS get this error. I've emptied and cleared all caches, cookies, private info, and temp directories and so forth, but nothing helps. I used an erase utility that clears all traces of Firefox activity, and I've also unistalled Firefox and re-installed it from scratch several times, but the scrapbook error remains.
I'm using Firefox 3.0.1.14 under Windows XP Pro / SP3 on a powerful machine. I have about 14 add-ons installed, which I'll list if anyone wishes.
Please: What can I do to solve this months-long problem?
