So, there should be some kind of book or template how to write an extension for TB or FF with standards ... I think ...
And non-standard extensions should not be accessible from official add-on website, if possible.

I hope the attached images are enough. I didn't realize that my menu bar is customized. Apologies.

The same is also reproducible when I moved the mail toolbar buttons back to their original locations

This does not happen if I use large icons (customize toolbar) and have both icons and text displayed.

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.3a1pre) Gecko/20100114 Shredder/3.2a1pre
Note: I share the profile between TB 3.0 and 3.2a1pre.

Thanks,

Sharebird,
Could you find cause for this?

It is not reproducible with last build trunk_r3370. Thanks.

Hi Morbia, thank you very much!
Hmmm... I'd been thinking about it for a while, but... I think there are so many really good dark themes around... And, actually I have to say I am not really a fan of dark themes. Another problem is that I'm relatively busy for now.

Maybe in the future... ;-)

Hi,
nice to see, that you are supporting the "Display Contact Photo" extension.
After the installation of the Silvermel development build, the Display Contact Photo extension didn't display photos anymore. It shows only the default contact picture for all contacts.

I tried Silvermel 1.4.0pre - Revision 3434 with Display Contact Photo 0.5.2 on Thunderbird 3.0.3

Hmmm.... It works for me without any problem. Maybe another extension causing this?

Sorry, I tried it now with a totally clean installation of Thunderbird. Just "Display Contact Photo 0.5.2" (from AMO) and Silvermel were installed.

With Silvermel 1.3.2 it looks as expected:

With Silvermel 1.4.0pre - Revision 3434 I get the following:

The contact picture is set in the address book, the source is a local file.

@Somebody,
it works without any problem for me:

Did you try assigning another image for it?
You could also try to clear the thumbnail cache... (but I'm not sure if you will have to assign the pictures again)
Did you try disabling the other extensions? Notice that a clean installation doesn't necessarily mean a clean profile...

P.S - I've already had an idea... Does this image have the string "default" on its name?

I tried to disable my extensions with no success on my default profile.

After that,
- I installed Thunderbird in a virtual machine
- and first installed Display Contact Photo,
- set up the address book picture
- tested it with the default theme
- switched to Silvermel 1.4.0pre - Revision 3434
- made the "Non working screenshot"
- switched to Silvemel 1.3.2
- made the "As expected screenshot"

Additionally I tried now:
- deleting the thumbnail cache via Display Contact Photo options and manually
- assigning a png image instead of the jpg I used previously
- playing around with the effects options of Display Contact Photo

May I ask - are you sure, that you didn't change something afterwards in your theme, that it's working now for you, but not with the version I've downloaded?
Or maybe - may it also be a missing addon at my side?
Can it be an issue, that I'm using the German localized version, while it seems you're using the international?

By the way - as you can see from my screenshots, Display Contact Photo cuts the default image to the proportions of the expected image.
