Hi Curlews, thank you for reporting this issue here. Could you please post a screenshot from this problem?

Re: Silvermel and Charamel - Themes for Firefox and Thunderb
Hi, ShBird, I uninstalled test-pilot due to this issue hence I do not have a screen dump ready. Even when I install it again it will take a long while until test pilot wants to send data again (asking permission to do so).
Edit: Activated test-pilot and see when it happens again - stay tuned

@Curlews,
is the same issue like when you open this window: "Tools" > "TestPilot" > "All your User Studies" ??

Here's the screenshot. Pay attention to the "ribbon" just above the TestPilot's toolbar.
May the FOSS be with you!

No, this one displays perfectly fine - it's only the "ask permission to send data" window

This ribbon does not belong there? same issue here! (thought it's a feature)
Yep, this is default theme display:

What I need to do to get this window? Notice that I myself don't use Thunderbird at all...

As far as I know you can't trigger this window - test pilot automatically collecting data (study) and sending it when needed (then this window pops up) .. there is no pattern to it and sending requests happen rarely.

Actually I have already an exposed preference on Sivermel (the options for addons view tiles or list) and use a prefpane on SwitchThemes... Yes, it's a lot easier than actually make this preference possible at all... You know what a PITA is having to deal with the Stylesheet Service

You are not quite right. Yes, Firefox doesn't automatically clean up its preferences but there are some extensions to do the cleaning manually. For example, I use Preferences Cleaner.
Not necessary for Silvermel and Charamel. The companion will clean up all preferences after uninstall...

Why my borders are not so rounded?
Because those screenshots were made using Thunderbird 3.6, that had tabs on bottom, not at top, like the new Thunderbird 11. By the way, your "borders" are actually the tabs...

I really don't know how to fix this. Maybe with the new versions this has been already fixed, don't know. I will investigate this issue further.

Silvermel
Charamel

Relax, this is no issue for me - I was merely reporting this bug! I'll see how it goes. There is no problem with the default TB theme hence not sure if that is really a Mozilla issue. Again, it's no drama.

Looks like build 5440 addresses the Thunderbird TestPilot display error. Thanks!

Hey ShareBird I want to give you a heads-up on the new download panel which looks like it will be in tomorrow's nightly build (Firefox 14). I am trying it out now and it is going to be a problem with your themes. The first image is with the default theme and as you can see there is a "download arrow" in the upper right hand corner. In the second image with Silvermel there is just a big space between the edge and the APB icon.

Slight Conflict with "CompactHeader" Extension
I'd never use any other theme with Firefox than Silvermel. But in Thunderbird, Silvermel doesn't work together too well with the "CompactHeader" extension.
If I pick the most space saving option in CompactHeader (only the "Display only address" option clicked) with only one line being displayed in the header bar, the header bar with Silvermel is MUCH bigger and wasting more space than with any other theme. This is because because with CompactHeader's one-line-option picked, the letters of the subject of the emails are presented much too bold by Silvermel. In addition, if the subject line of the email is a bit long and there is a line break, the top part of the letters of the next line can be seen at the lower border of the header bar.
My main gripe is simply that the header bar (in "CompactHeader's" one-line-mode that I prefer to use to save space) with Silvermel is way to thick and wasting space. It's the reason why I won't use Silvermel in Thunderbird. Screen estate is still more important to me than aesthetics, though I manage to resist Silvermel's luring charm only with a bleeding heart.
