using old firefox versions is high risk vulnerability fyi - i would call it stupid (except ESR).
although TMP has its own session manager it gives you the decision to use that one or firefox built-in. RTFM
TU has missing multi-language support now - not acceptable.
from my point TU is dead - i dont use it but a friend of mine who is not that into deep like me.
so chrome aint "decent" enough? dont be ridiculous. chrome has nothing comparable either like TMP nor TU. chrome plus is for longer now no extension any longer, its an separate browser version. the major problem on such forks is the long gap between a new original version and its release - people using such browsers are using a security hole.
watercox is outdated, lawlitfox has this gap and it own problems. there are two more firefox forks with same trouble - palemoon has its own numbering (i guess) and is nor comparable - and has too much releases for one major (due its coding)

@fire.Man,
Everything was broken but I didn't get any error messages when installing the xpi or when restarting Firefox.
I installed the xpi that is available here http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?p=12962759#p12962759
Cheers

John, was that on Firefox 21.0, as mentioned in your former post? That patched xpi is only for Firefox 22.0. If for some reason you're stuck with 21.0 (not recommended), use the unpatched TU 1.6pre4 (the last published development version) from addons.mozilla.org. At least, those combinations work on Firefox for Windows; I don't know if there are any Linux-specific issues.

Not without knowing what's wrong, and the error console no longer sheds any light on that front.
I think it's time to switch to TMP, folks.

Pity they don't (?) have the "inherit history" feature. That was the main reason I switched to TU, really.

It seems to work. But I did not check all the possibilities.

I only found 1 other add-on implementing it individually in AMO (Tab History Redux) but it seems to have serious problems, according to the last comments in the site. I got to "extract" the inherit history feature successfully (or it seems...) from TU and I added it to a personal add-on. I could to move it to a separate add-on, on the next days, and share it here, if that chinese update doesn't help you.

Ok folks. We are not about to allow random links to a "fix" stay active here. Should someone want to take over this extension and post the new version to AMO noting that this is an offshoot of Tab Utilities that would be fine.
Locking the thread until, if possible, I hear from the developer. Should someone want to take over the extension post a new thread and PM me. I will add a link to the new thread here.
