Found another bug. In Google Reader if you right-click and select open in new tab the tab waits until selected to load, which is as it should be. If you hit V to open the story in a new tab it loads immediately.

First of all congratulations for this wonderful addon.

But i have to quote this bug, it is a problem. The use of the "v" shortcut to open the items in new tabs is very useful and the behaviour with this addon should be corrected as soon as possible.

However I repeat it is a great addon, bravo! =D> =D> =D>

Found another bug. Go to the following website.
http://www.duluthtrading.com/store/products/43145.aspx
Click zoom below the picture.
A new tab will open without loading the picture.
Click zoom again and it will now load the tab with the picture without the tab being clicked on.

I discovered a bug - if a form tries to post to target="_blank", your plugin converts the POST to a GET
Test Page: http://epii.info/ptest/src.html - click the button
Expected result: page that says POST and the variables passed
What happens with plugin: says GET and indicates nothing was passed

There seems to be a major issue with this extension, or i'm missing something. It seems to prevent tabs spawned in the background during normal use from loading, which is the entire point of doing that since it hides page load times.

Thank you all for reporting bugs. It seems all these bugs are related to diverted windows. When intercepting new tabs from diverted windows, some parameters may be missed. I haven't got a solution.

It seems I cannot understand you. Can you make it more clear?

Oh, i'm not sure if i'm doing it wrong or if its just how it works. But if you ctrl click or middle click on links in firefox you spawn background tabs. normally these tabs load in the background which is a good way of reducing the time you spend waiting for pages to load, but this extension seems to treat those new spawns as something to defer from loading as well which is not optimal.

Why not optimal? You may click on lots of links continuously. They should be quened and loaded progressively.

Unwanted interactions with Tab Mix Plus extension

Post by genoahous »

Tab Mix Plus and Load Tabs Progressively have an interaction bug when loading groups of bookmarks (aka a bookmark folder full of links).

If I middle click a folder with say 10 links and then immediately middle click another with say 5 links, I get less than 15 tabs open. If I wait until the first 10 links finish loading, then load the folder with 5 links I get the proper 15 tabs open. If I disable either extension, then behavior is corrected.

IMHO - It seems like TMP is seeing some of the tabs as blank, before being loaded by LTP. TMP is then reusing/overwriting them before LTP has a chance to start loading them.

Also, LTP does not appear to be able to control TMP session restores by throttling back the number of tabs loading concurrently. It would be awesome if LTP could be active during TMP restores.

-----
TMP 0.3.8.2 (default Options, except multi-row [So I can See problem])
LTP 0.9 (concurrent: 3, unread: -1)
FF 3.6.3 (fresh profile, only above extensions added to default)
Win XP SP3
-----
FWIW - I have also posted this in TMP forum

About the Google Reader thing. It looks like BarTab is having the same problem.
http://github.com/philikon/BarTap/issues/#issue/42
The last comment is how I managed to make Reader work with BarTab and it also works with Load Tabs Progressively.
Since I use Firefox in Single Window Mode anyways, does anyone know of any Addons that make all links open in Background Tabs, even those set to load in Foreground Tabs?

It's a TMP bug in the function gBrowser.isBlankBrowser.

Yes, I know this. It's due to TMP's improvement.
