Hello, I can not reproduce this problem.
It maybe some other extension conflicts with MClickFocusTab.
Would you please try to create a new profile with only MClickFocusTab installed to see if it still happen.
Thanks.

Indeed, it conflicts with Tab Mix Plus :(((

(I touched all Tab Mix Plus settings - useless)

Are there plans to make this compatible with e10s? It is shown as incompatible by Addon Compatibility Reporter.

Just left you a 5-star review for this add-on :mrgreen:.  But, I have to confirm this bug report by osminogig;
the main panel of the bookmarks menu disappears when an item is middle-clicked (it does stay open, but it's no longer visible).

Also, could you provide an option to disable the highlighting when the mouse cursor is moved away from the link?
The highlight feature can alter an entire page and is visually disrupting the use of Grab & Drag
Plus, this behavior would mean consistency with the fact that link activation is cancelled once the cursor moves.
Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601)
Firefox 49.0.2
Thunderbird 45.4.0

Hi there. I love this add-on. I can open a new tab foreground or background as my choice.
But starting 26 Dec 2016, I can no longer middle-click to do anything.
Once in a great while, it does open a tab, but mostly it doesn't work.

[*Bug-2017-03-07]

Version:
Firefox 52.0 (32-bit)
MCFT 20.0.20150603.1-signed

Issue:
If you upgrade to Fx 52, you will lose your all tabs/windows history ( sessionstore.js will reset to default ), and couldn't auto-focus to the new tab ( like Ctrl-t or Ctrl-Shift-a or else ).

Solution:
First backup your profile files.
Then...

(1) disable MCFT until bug fixed
(2) or just stopping auto-upgrade for Firefox.
(3) To recover your session, your need finding these files:

(a) (folder) sessionstore-backups
(b) (file) sessionCheckpoints.json
(c) (file) sessionstore.js

(4) rename these folder / files ( for example "~sessionstore-backups" or else you like )
(5) copy-paste the correct "sessionstore.js" file into your profile directory.

*Attention*
Anyway, FIRST backup your profile folder before you do anything.
(Windows 7 or newer) Open any folder then type "%AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles" in the address bar, and backup all folders you see (in this directory "Profiles").

----

Thank you for the reply. Some time after my post, the problem was gone. Happy now.
