Thanks for confirming it works! I have submitted the new version to addons.mozilla.org, we'll see how it goes.

You might want to change the version number to 0.10.5 so that it's an official version.

I'm not planning on rewriting InfoLister to make it restartless. The WebExtensions stuff is in its infancy, with no public discussion around it, so I'll wait to see what happens to it in a couple of years. The current way of writing extensions (including restartless) is declared "deprecated".

On a positive note, the latest version of InfoLister is finally reviewed and is available at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... nfolister/

It required a tiny fix, I put a new version (0.10.5a2) at http://nickolay.github.io/infolister/ but I don't think you can install it since Firefox now requires add-ons to be signed by Mozilla... I submitted it to AMO and we'll see how it goes.

As expected, you can't just upload a version with a fix to AMO... Here's the link to the signed version: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... n-0.10.5a2

And here's a list of issues that need to be either fixed or debated with the AMO crew (I won't be wasting my time on this):
The following issues need to be addressed so we can grant your submission full approval:

1. This add-on is creating DOM nodes from HTML strings containing potentially unsanitized data, by assigning to innerHTML, jQuery.html, or through similar means. Aside from being inefficient, this is a major security risk. For more information, see https://developer.mozilla.org/en/XUL_Sc ... _Insertion . Here are some examples that were discovered:
content/infolister.js L#42, 49

2. We generally don't accept using the 'eval' function. There are many reasons not to use 'eval', and there are alternatives available. You can read more about it here: https://developer.mozilla.org/en/XUL_Sc ... in_Add-ons

3. Markup parsing error. The markup file has more closing tags than it has opening tags.
locale/zh-TW/loading.html

4. This add-on contains duplicate or hidden files or folders. These files complicate the review process and may contain sensitive information about the system you created the XPI on. Please correct your packaging process so that these files aren't included.

FWIW... [-X The above link goes to the Firefox add-on InfoLister Version History page at addons-mozilla-org where v_0.10.5a2 is not listed/available.

You can get Infolister v_0.10.5a2 from GitHub here: https://nickolay.github.io/infolister/ =D>

@_asqueella... I consider this a "must have" indispensable add-on. One of the first I install in Ff. A perfect reference for setting up a new Ff installation, and as a printed check-list when needed to test/troubleshoot other add-ons. Thank you for keeping up with Infolister because there is nothing like it, period. Excellent work.

Firefox 49.01 allows previously installed Infolister v_0.10.5a2 to remain active. The link at https://nickolay.github.io/infolister/ is rebuffed by Firefox as an unsigned extension and is no longer on the versions page https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... n-0.10.5a2. Can v_0.10.5a2 get signed ?

Oh, it is now "Disabled by Mozilla", apparently due to failing to address the review comments quoted above.

Be sure to thank the team for protecting y'all from the fixes required by the latest Firefox. The latest thread in mozilla.addons.user-experience about this is aptly titled "No more unsigned add-ons? Has Mozilla lost their mind?"

You can download the XPI from https://nickolay.github.io/infolister/ , change the ID in install.rdf and submit it as an "unlisted" add-on to addons.mozilla.org. This will give you a blessed XPI that you can install in the current version of Firefox. But you can't do that with an existing ID, because that would be too convenient.

Since Infolister no longer works, is there an alternative extension that produces the same information?
