This addon doesn't work with the Zoom Page addon: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... zoom-page/

Zoom Page gives you a composite button for seeing and controlling the zoom level. CSTBB makes this buitton too big, and causes the whole navigation bar and buttons to stretch to double-height.
To see this effect, install both addons, then place the Zoom Page button in the navigation bar, and in the Zoom Page options choose Button Style = small or tiny.

I hope this is helpful, this is a great addon!

@KineticFlow: Test the latest devbuild and report, if it is fixed now on your end.

v1.1.4pre3
Back button has reverted to square and all buttons appear stretched. I don't think this is related to the Zoom Page addon, since it's like that even with it removed.

The vertical separation of the zoom page buttons is smaller, but the original button had no separation at all between its three components while there is still separation with the Classic Toolbar Buttons addon.

I did some screenshots, hope they are helpful.

You right, I've checked pre3 on another system and my conclusion is the file I uploaded (my pre3) and the file available to download (pre3) do not match. There seems to be a false js check causing FF to load the wrong css file for navbar buttons. I'll upload a fixed version when I get home later today.

@KineticFlow: I forgot to remove a check before uploading. It excluded FF14, so this add-on only showed correct buttons on FF15+ ;-)
'Zoom Page' add-ons buttons for small/tiny view are a bit different in FF14+ from what they were on FF13 and older.

v1.1.4pre4
pre3 got removed by me (-> wrong file)

Firefox
- (new) toolbar button icons from Firefox on MacOS
- (new) toolbar button icons from Seamonkey
- (support) 'Zoom Page' add-on

- other changes

Note
Seamokey doesn't offer as much toolbar button icons as Firefox, so I used FF3.6 icons for the ones missing from Seamonkey.

v1.1.4pre5
https://addons.mozilla.org/addon/cstbb/versions/

- (fix) 'HackTheWeb' addon
- (fix) 'Zoom Page' add-ons +/- icons
- (fix) some settings stopped working correctly on v1.1.4pre1+
- (fix) 'url-addon-bar'-extension (again) -> needs more testing
- (fix) 'QuickSearchBar'-extension
- (change) combined top/bottom space settings for nav-bar large/small view

Hello Aris! I just noticed a small bug.

the bug is concerning the hover glow of the forward button it's seems okay like this:

Image

but when a certain "persona" is enabled sometimes it becomes like this. The glow is overlapping the back button on some cases.

here's a another screenshot for better comparison:

other than that the addon is fantastic!

btw the persona didn't change the color of the firefox bar. I used a userchrome modification.

EDIT:
Okay i tried some more personas and the the problem didn't occur... don't know what's happening.
Maybe JayhawksRock is right about the author needing to work on the persona i used :-?

The author of the persona has some work to do! :? Or you could find another persona....

Post updated above.

Maybe Aris will have a fix, but extension authors write their extensions for the default theme. There are too may variables in the 100's of themes that are out there. BTW does it look OK when using small buttons?

Yeah, it only occurs on large buttons. I'd like to use the small buttons but I'm not that comfortable when using them.

@ZeroShot: I know you updated already your post, but I wanted to comment it anyway ;-)

On your screenshots you compared two different states of the back-button. The one using default theme showed 'back-button' in 'default' state (not hovered/active/disabled), while the Persona picture showed a 'disabled' back-button.

Image

I guess your Persona just reduced the opacity of the back-button too much. The button glow affects 2-3px around a button, so a too transparent back-button cannot mask the glow of the forward-button. I'm not sure if there is a nice way to avoid this. On Firefox 12s default theme (the last one with this buttons) without any extension/addon, the overlapping is even worse. For 'Classic Toolbar Buttons' I tried to avoid this issue as much as possible, without breaking anything else.

Firefox 12 + a Persona + back-button [disabled] + hovered forward-button + no other extensions/add-ons
Image

If you still want to use the previous Persona, you could try to modify the back-buttons opacity with this Stylish code:
1.0 = 100%
...
0.1 = 10%

Code: Select all

#navigator-toolbox[iconsize=large][mode=icons] > :-moz-any(#nav-bar:not([currentset*="unified-back-forward-button,urlbar-container"]),#nav-bar:not([currentset])) > #unified-back-forward-button > #back-button[disabled="true"]{
   opacity: 1.0 !important;
}
