[Ext] Simple MailYou can :
do a search for all your mbs files copy them in a new directory under Simplemail : right click on the folder where u want to import mails and choose "Import" then go to your new folder and select all files (CTRL-A) Regards,
TechnalXS Glad you're back. Did you look at my earlier post? I can't delete the emails in my trash.
I tried enabling the "empty trash on exit" box, but it has no effect. I tried right-clicking on the trash folder and clicking "empty," but I get an error message: Invalid response: no such message. I am now storing over 400 read messages in the trash and climbing. I need some real help, please. BTW, I'd like to be able to delete the "Sent" box, too. That's over 50 and getting bigger every day. Thanks. Hi,
Did you check the box "delete on server" in the message box upon deleting? If yes try without. May be you have already delete mails on your server If it don't work try to create a folder in the Trash folder and put all messages in this new folder then empty trash.
have you the same problem with this folder ? Regards,
TechnalXS Bonjour Technalxls,
ooops ...sorry for double posting ... i'm newbie to use this forum .. ![]() here is the correct one here using SimpleMail-2.86beta1 when sending a mail, the received date is 8 hours forwards !
i got a try sending a mail to myself, using my webmail (it uses SquirrelMail): the received date is a few seconds or minutes later (just the transfer time)
hope this helps cahrlie Bonjour Technals,
I've just discovered the command line adress book abook: http://abook.sourceforge.net/ abook has a command to send a mail using «mutt» (another command line mail client) to the in-abook-selected-mail-adress, just typing «m». abook then launches the following command type:
read also http://go2linux.garron.me/linux/2010/10/how-send-email-command-line-gmail-mutt-789 On my distro, i made the following symlink: /usr/bin/mutt pointing to /usr/lib/firefox/firefox. When typing «m» from abook, it opens a firefox window having «@yahoo.com» in the URL field, without «user». I'd just expected ...SimpleMail... to start... ![]() By the way, i also could use the wide abooks import/export features to: - import/export from and to simplemail adress book; - import/export and merge from formerly used adress books (from Seamonkey) I now have made abook my main adress books «bookkeeper» to gather all my contacts references. Thanks for any response. Charlie Hello,
i don't know how to do this as Mutt is a mail client and Simplemail is also a mail client but "embedded" in Firefox. Anyway i'll look to implement a command line for Simplemail may be with this : https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/doc ... mmand_Line. for your problem of date could you send me a mail (technalxs at gmail dot com) with the date+hours in the message? Regards,
TechnalXS
I'm sorry, I don't understand this. Where is the "delete on server" box to check? I can't seem to see it. Not sure what the "message box" is.
have you the same problem with this folder ?[/quote] Yes, same problem. I was able to create a new folder in the trash, but when I transfer old mail to it, how do I then empty it? Empty is not one of the choices when you right-click on the new folder.
Now the Sent folder seems to be emptying itself somehow. At any rate, it's down to 2 messages.
right click on trash and choose "empty"
may be you have set a filter ?
in the Simplemail settings Regards,
TechnalXS
That has no effect; still get the same error message.
No, when I check for filters, it only says default, and the box is not checked.
There is nothing listed as "settings" that I can find. The tab choices are: Refresh, new, reply, reply all, forward, mark as spam, delete, save as, print, and preferences. Under preferences (which is the only tab with choices under it), the choices are: accounts, general, filters, and credits. Under general, there is no check box for delete on server. There is move to trash on delete and confirm deletion of messages, but nothing else with the word "delete." A new version of Simple Mail is available

TechnalXS Hi Technalxs,
thanks for 2.86b2 ! since version 2.85 i'm upgrading the existing datas and preferences upon each new update (i.e. 2.86, 2.86b1 and 2.86b2). I'm wondering if i have to erase all existing simplemail stuffs to get benefits of the 2.86b2 latest fixes before installing the latest update? As an example: setting Options/General to: - check box "open in new thumbnail" and - check box "New messages in a new window" - check box "Icon style" to Nuvola works as long as i do not close firefox. When i re-open firefox, those options are resetted to the default parameters. So i have to redo the above settings each time i restart firefox. Cheers, Charlie
Pardon my interruption, Charlie, but you seem to be the right guy to ask: Firefox Addon: Simple Mail viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2751863&p=13088771#p13088771 The icon for replied messages is not working. There used to be a kind of green arrow over the envelope icon. Now there's no green arrow, only the white envelope. Is it a problem of my addon version (tested with 2.86beta6 and 2.85 final) and/or compatibility with my browser version?
Thanks in advance. Return to Extension/Theme Releases Who is onlineUsers browsing this forum: No registered users and 1 guest |
