Apparently, Simple Mail can't send mail through Hotmail. (smtp.live.com)

I already tried version 2.84.2 and the last beta (2.84.3 beta 1), with several different configurations (ports 465 and 587 with and without SSL/TLS). I can only receive mail from Hotmail... no send...

Any solution?

Thanks in advance.

Hi!
First of all, the extension is great. However, I would like to mention lack of two (maybe three) features:
1. Set default encoding for writing messages. It may be because I use different language version for firefox. But my system locales are set to UTF, and still new message is always composed as ISO-8859-2. Could you add an opion for saving default locales?
2. IMAP folders. IDK if someone mentioned it, but it would be wonderful, if I could synchronize folders with my gmail account. I just swiched from Opera, where it worked just fine, but now your client doesn't recognize it.
3. I (don't know, this can be kinda tricky) Could you add PGP/GPG feature? Encryption and (which I lack most) signing messages? There was this Enigmail for Thunderbird, but it is obsolete now. You can get very tired of all this copy-paste operations :P

Hi:

I am running Simple Mail extension in Firefox v20.0.1, Windows 7. I am able to get my emails, but can only send some. It is a strange situation since it is associated with replying to emails received, and that too with multiple recipients. When I do a reply all, it refuses to send emails out. If I construct a new email, and put the same recipients, in some cases, the email goes but in most cases it doesn't.

I am not sure if this is an issue of settings or a bug.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Cheers,
Raj

HI,
Easy install and setup. I'm using FF 20.0. Not sure if this is an issue or user error, but when I create folders (and sub folders) I can't resort them and they don't sort alphabetically. Is there any way to sort other than by creation time? (This is what is seems to be doing)

Thanks!

@rajbabbar :
which mail provider do you use or which smtp server do you use ?

@bradzilla
you can't resort folders nor manually or alphabetically. May be in the next version (that's a good idea!)

Hi -

I am using Google Apps for business for my company email. I have IMAP enabled on my Google Apps account.

The settings I am using are as follows:

General Tab:
Name: Rajnish Babbar
Email: rajnish.babbar@<companyname>.com
Reply To: rajnish.babbar@<companyname>.com
Refresh every (minutes): 60

POP3/IMAP - imap.google.com, Port 993. I have SSL/TLS enabled, and Authentication method is set to Default.
SMTP - smtp.gmail.com, port 465. SSL/TLS is enabled, and login is my Google Apps business email.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Raj
