Re: [Ext] Clean Links 2.4
Hi,
An odd experience here with Clean Links 2.7.1-signed on Cyberfox 40.0.3 x-64, which I reproduce as follows, narrowed to the minimum scheme to eliminate possible parasites :
1- On the Downloadcrew website, select Subscribe to this page (I've ran the first : Latest Software) which opens Firefox's built-in RSS feed reader/subsciption ;
2- After having opened a page on Downloadcrew from the RSS page, Clean Links Link Tracking shows an original link with Facebook and a cleaned link with Downloadcrew's page.
Now :
1- I have Facebook totally blocked here (HOSTS file, Peerblock, and uBlock for the browser;
2- If I disable Clean Links and test again as above, the destination page appears normally when in fact it shouldn't since Facebook is blocked.
3- I've contacted Downloadcrew and the admin's answer was that of a surprised irritation :
You do understand the oddity of this situation/scheme. It seems that indeed Facebook is not concerned yet Clean Links grabs an hypothetical call to Facebook when opening a link from Downloadcrew's rss feed list to Downloadcrew.
I'd be happy to understand the process. Thanks

I’ve seen some odd emails in my time, but this is up there!

Re: [Ext] Clean Links 2.4
Have installed the 2.7.1, but no idea how to use it. Don't know the first thing about regex. Will it work out of the box as is? Also, can't select or configure any of the options, they all appear as text only--can't select or modify any of them.

Re: [Ext] Clean Links 2.4
Anyone can help me and tell me if this can be achieved with Regex,or whitelisting somehow?:
I'm on this page here: http://www.985fm.ca/webradio/
The website is for a radio and I want to listen to pre-aired audio clips. The website uses javascript reditecting to the .mp3 audio clip.
I'll use one of the clips as an example. The javascript if I copy the link location looks like this:
My issue is that when Clean Links is enabled, I'm getting the picture file "http://files.gestionradioqc.com/admin/picture/2015/08/13/20150813OK1P03_169c.jpg" when what I want is the .mp3 file "http://files.gestionradioqc.com/audio/2015/10/09/2015100958N4ZH.mp3"
I tried a couple of things, specifically removing the while link pointing to the .jpg file, but it didn't work and the .jpg picture was the one that got loaded by Clean Links. I'm not very knowledgeable about Regex though, can anyone suggest a couple of things i could try, or let me know if what I want is even possible?
The issue appears to be that the website uses javascript to redirect to another URL, but there are two target locations in the javascript code, and the one pointing to the .jpg seems to take precedence over the .mp3 one (maybe just because of alphabetical order as j is before m?). Is there any way to tell Clean Links to prioritize mp3 files for a specific website?

Doesn't work correctly with Tree Style Tab.
Opening a new link with middle mouse button doesn't make the tab within the tree instead like a new main tab. If you need a picture to explain what I mean I will post one.

bug when using ALT key to select link text
using the ALT key in Linux (and Windows i believe) allows you to select and copy the text of a link, however when CL is enabled, the link is opened on mouse button up

Hi, forgive me if I am blind, but I cannot see anywhere any instructions or description of how this add-on looks in firefox, or how it works or what it acheives? There is nothing on the firefox add-on page and I cant find any in the links?

Re: [Ext] Clean Links 2.4
I've built a regex expression to clean various URLs but I've been unable to clean URLs ending with "?rss".
Example: http://roma.repubblica.it/cronaca/2016/ ... 78891/?rss
These links originate from the RSS feed of http://www.repubblica.it, opened via Feedly (http://feedly.com/).
In particular the regex tested (in the "Remove From Links:" field) include:
|\\?rss.*
|\\?rss
I've also enabled the "Use Redirect Watcher" option but with no luck.
Any help?

Re: [Ext] Clean Links 2.4
** Links not marked as read in Feedly **
When I use CleanLinks with Feedly rss feeds reader http://www.feedly.com/ I'm able to cleanup the links of many rss feed I follow, however the links aren't marked as read by Feedly when I click on them.
I guess that Feedly gets tricked by CleanLinks and doesn't mark the URL as read.
Any idea how I can solve this issue?

Very helpful extention!
I have tried it, it works, but I see # in the end:
http://www.***.ru/mb1732833189?sp=1
->
http://www.***.ru/mb1732833189#
Remove from links= (?:ref|aff|sp)\w*|utm_\w+|(?:merchant|programme|media)ID

Re: [Ext] Clean Links 2.4
Does this also work in Thunderbird? In other words, if there is an email with "unclean" links, will this open the proper one in the browser?
Does this mean it doesn't allow sites to track use for marketing purposes?

Re: [Ext] Clean Links 2.4
When will Clean Links support multi-process or e10s Firefox please ?
