may be it will help?

S3.Download Statusbar -> settings -> tab Downloads Library -> uncheck "Replace Downloads Library page"

that was already off - it messed up my firefox and i had to rebuild the profile.

i try to create an image for you:
when i have a download in firefox i get the minibar on the download button, when ready it becomes the green arrow. clicking on that arrow shows me the latest downloads and "Show all downloads".

"Downloads Windows" after 0.4.0 disabled the download list there for its own purpose and left only "Show all downloads" behind. (thats reason i rest on 0.4.0)

i mentioned that S3 do/did same. ah now again. once i opend the downloads window (part of the library) i cant get the list back on a second click while S3 is activated. i get only "Show all downloads"

i try to verify again without S3

without S3 the download list on the button is still available as long i dont close firefox, with S3 its only visible once. i remember that S3 bar is gone when all downloads are finished nevertheless i have more that this option to get to those files but sometimes it is easier to open files from that list view instead via explorer.

I was not able to reproduce the described by you - i try S3.Download StatusBar with Downloads Windows (both version - latest 0.4.5 and previous 0.4.0) - all work as expected - the downloads visible in download list.
Check option "Remove completed downloads" in addon "Downloads Windows". Try to switch on/off this option.

I've DL this file, and the file is about 62 kb in size. All the previous versions of S3 have been around 300 kb, so before I try this latest version I have to ask if this pre-version is suppose to be that small?

"Remove compledted Downloads" was off - i ever clean it up manually.
nevertheless sorry, the list only is hold when i disable S3 downbar wether Downloads Windows 0.40 is enabled or not. when i get the library and close it after that the list (on button) is empty.

ok, new test with clean profile - i have asterix (*) to remove after 10 sec from dl-bar. exactly same time it disapperas from the list on button. feature or bug?

if file type = *, then automatically removed from history all download files
you can set this field the list of extensions (png,gif,torrent,etc...) or leave it blank

by default this field == jpg, jpeg, png, gif and 5 sec

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you.

Anyway I was finally able to DL this version of pre-2.04. (Turns out I was right clicking the link to save the file, which would give me the erroneous sized XPI file.)

Once I had the file, it installed in to Ff without any problem. And I'm happy to report that the Script warning message box I was getting when the downloads list loaded has been solved. The list now appears to load without any problems at all.

So thank you for all your help in fixing this.

Great extension, thanks!

Browser console show this warning:
"Use of Mutation Events is deprecated. Use MutationObserver instead."

This is because Mutation Events seriously harm the performance.
