There's an issue with v2.06. Its hides the "Bookmarks toolbar items" from toolbar on firefox restart, if S3.Download Statusbar is enabled.
I disabled ~35 addons in firefox and enabled them one after one just to find out which addon caused the issue.

Please help

Kindly make sure that you have a few bookmarks stored under Bookmarks --> Bookmarks Toolbar before proceeding furthur

1) disable S3.Download Statusbar, if enabled
2) right click on a toolbar (navigation bar) and choose Customize... from the menu
3) From the list of items, drag "Bookmark Toolbar Item" to the main toolbar and drop it there
Image

4) Close the Customize tab. You'll find the Bookmark Toolbar Item in the toolbar. Exit firefox and start it again. The bookmark Toolbar Item is still there
5) Now enable S3.Download Statusbar. Close and reopen firefox. The bookmark Toolbar Item disappears!!!
But if you disable S3.Download Statusbar and restart firefox, the bookmark Toolbar shows up again.

I hope I provided clear easy steps to reproduce the bug

I checked on the default theme, as well as on the theme Woody-Fox in Firefox 29 and in Firefox Nightly (31a01)
Sorry, but i were unable to reproduce

I suggest you reset customization settings (using the "default settings" button when in "customize..." mode) and see if the icon appears somewhere (also, you should make sure the icon isn't on another toolbar that is disabled, by enabling them all).

If this doesn't work, try this the method:
1. exit Firefox.
2. make a backup of prefs.js and localstore.rdf from the Firefox profile (c:\Users\_USERNAME_\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\PROFILE-ID.default\)
3. delete these 2 files.
4. restart Firefox and try to repeat this bug.

If it works correctly, then a random setting in one or the other files is the culprit...

Or most likely your profile in Firefox damaged

I'm sorry, I did not understand - at 2.07 there are any problems? :)

Thanks for your help. I already tried resetting localstore.rdf before I reported this issue here. But really cant afford to reset pref.js because it contains a lot of customizations. I guess I'll look out for a similar extension, if one exists :(

Please temporarily delete pref.js ONLY for test and let me know the result

You were absolutely right. There's some wrong setting in my firefox profile. I downloaded a portable version of firefox, and I was unable to reproduce the issue.
Sorry for reporting a bug that doesnt exist. I try temporarily deleting pref.js and shall report back
