Why the 2 versions of CTR 1.7.4 at GitHub ? ? ?
CTR_v1.7.3.5.beta1_fx45-56_last.signed.version.xpi
CTR_v1.7.4.xpi --- I used this one for FF 52.7.2ESR
CTR_v1.7.4_for_updatetest_1.7.3.9.to.1.7.4.xpi
CTR_v1.7.4_fx45-56_not_signed.xpi
CTR_v1.7.3.5.beta1_fx45-56_last.signed.version.xpi
CTR_v1.7.4.xpi --- I used this one for FF 52.7.2ESR
CTR_v1.7.4_for_updatetest_1.7.3.9.to.1.7.4.xpi

Re: [Ext] Classic Theme Restorer (Fx 29-56)
The default file "CTR_v1.7.4.xpi" is for Waterfox and Basilisk only, because those browsers do not require add-on signing. Futher more the internal update url points to Github now. You won't be able to install updates on Firefox 52-56 unless you use the workaround to allow unsigned add-ons being installed on Firefox 52-56.
CTR_v1.7.4_fx45-56_not_signed.xpi is what I have uploaded to AMO over a month ago, it does not change the internal update url.
CTR_v1.7.4_for_updatetest_1.7.3.9.to.1.7.4.xpi is a test version based on 1.7.4 for Waterfox/Basilisk. It allows you to test how the update using Github works (Update for Basilisk isn't working for me yet, while it works fine on Waterfox).
CTR_v1.7.3.5.beta1_fx45-56_last.signed.version.xpi is the last beta I could upload to AMO before those ass ... removed beta version from AMO. Since it was signed, Firefox 52-56 users can install it without any workaround.
All the versions are identical feature wise.

Re: [Ext] Classic Theme Restorer (Fx29-56/Waterfox/Basilisk)
Hello, Aris.
Could you help me with a couple of CSS tweaks?
First I would like to know how to hide the menu "Close Sidebar" with its respective separator (I could not find the "ids" with the DOM Inspector).
Second, I'm using the following code (link): to hide the folder icons (wasted space) from the bookmarks bar, but the icons are still visible in the double arrow menu, is there any way to hide it there too?
Third, I changed the position of the search bar (CTR> Toolbas> Page 2> Findbars position) to shown on top, but I do not like that it does not have an border at the bottom. Is there any way to add it?
Thanks in advance.

Re: [Ext] Classic Theme Restorer (Fx29-56/Waterfox/Basilisk)
userChrome.css right?
do you have code handy for color modifications of the tabs bg color?
- Orange for new UN-read tabs, #FF6600
- and light blue for current tab in focus... #33CCFF
- NEW-TAB mini-box/tab light purple, #CC33CC
tabs on TOP = OFF, I can't stand having tabs on top.. Mozilla is ******** these days...
Addon-Lists: show addon version info...
Addon-Lists: highlight entry on hover
anything you can do would be appreciated.

Re: [Ext] Classic Theme Restorer (Fx29-56/Waterfox/Basilisk)
thx, I looked at that already...
I... uggh don't know css much so I could not do this on my own... lol....
any suggestions... for assembling the script?
I already downloaded a copy of v1.8.4... aside from just dumping it into the correct folder i the profile folder...
what else can I do to get the layout and features setup exactly the way I want them to be??

Re: [Ext] Classic Theme Restorer (Fx29-56/Waterfox/Basilisk)
For tab colors look at lines 52-75 (replace the variable with a "linear-gradient(to top,#f9f9fa,#f9f9fa,#f9f9fa);" and use your color ):
https://github.com/Aris-t2/-CustomCSSfo ... bs.css#L52
Not sure what "NEW-TAB mini-box" means, but the above code also styles 'new tab' tab.
For tabs below navigation toolbar look here (the whole file is required to do this properly):
https://github.com/Aris-t2/CustomCSSfor ... oolbar.css
Add-on version css code can be found here: https://github.com/Aris-t2/CustomCSSfor ... number.css
It belongs into userContent.css, not userChrome.css.
An xml file is also required (the magic happens there): https://github.com/Aris-t2/CustomCSSfor ... ersion.xml
Make sure you add them to the correct directory and/or alter the css path to the file
An alternative appearance for add-on manager incl. add-on highlight indication on hover can be found here:
https://github.com/Aris-t2/CustomCSSfor ... arance.css
----
If you are using the complete package, extract it into your profiles chrome folder as mentioned on main Github page. To configure everything you need to edit userChrome.css and userContent.css files. It like enabling/disabling settings in CTR, but with editing the corresponding line. Every "option" has a proper name or an additional description. I know it takes time to setup everything, but once you are done the result will be close to what CTR offered in the past.
To tweak some ui parts even more edit config/general_variables.css and config/color_variables.css files. Variables are used across all files making modifying them easier that way. Not only colors but also sizes and dimensions can be set through those css files.

your first link has a hyphen error..
https://github.com/Aris-t2/-CustomCSS
https://github.com/Aris-t2/CustomCSS
anyway... the color css is a bit too much for me I don't know how to load it or get it setup correctly...
so I tried the simpler version # stuff... I could not get it to load either... in v60 beta
the Chrome directory was gone from the test profile so I copied it from my main Firefox profile folder... no good its not loading... the version numbers
