Heads-up:—
The latest Nightlies seem to have started to place add-ons on the chopping block (regardless of precautions taken.)

Re: [Ext] Classic Theme Restorer
They changed all toolbar button icons to svg icons on latest Nightly, meaning all file referrers inside CTRs code now point to non-existent images. I will restore "old" icons on next update.
Not sure which pref will restore the disabled add-ons though.

Re: [Ext] Classic Theme Restorer
Same here. Latest Nightly update has just broken my icons. I use default Nightly theme and now cannot see Back Forward Reload buttons, they ARE there, on the panel and they work, but they look now like empty squares when hover mouse on them.
And by the way, if anyone wants their addons back, use about:config and set extensions.allow-non-mpc-extensions to true.
Sorry if I doubled my post.

Thanks, Aris. My CTR, General UI, "Movable back-forward buttons" had gone.Aris wrote:They changed all toolbar button icons to svg icons on latest Nightly, meaning all file referrers inside CTRs code now point to non-existent images. I will restore "old" icons on next update.

Sounds good, Aris — also feels like a change for the better.Aris wrote:They changed all toolbar button icons to svg icons on latest Nightly, meaning all file referrers inside CTRs code now point to non-existent images. I will restore "old" icons on next update.

@all
Thanks for the extensions.allow-non-mpc-extensions' hint.
CTR v1.6.6 beta 5 out.
Most icons should work on latest Nightly builds again, but support for earlier Fx55 Nightlies had to be dropped.

Confirm that all of my icons are visible, once again — much appreciated bro.Aris wrote:CTR v1.6.6 beta 5 out.

Previously, after a download was complete, the icon on the Toolbar would change to blue — now, the icon changes to a black color which is quite inconspicuous.

@ChewInternetExplorer
Are you sure this is CTRs doing?
For me the icon turns blue with and without CTR installed. Even v1.6.6beta4 shows blue icon after download.

Aris, I always suspected it was the latest Nightly's doing — never doubted the CTR.

I was just reading about something similar to this.ChewInternetExplorer wrote:Previously, after a download was complete, the icon on the Toolbar would change to blue — now, the icon changes to a black color which is quite inconspicuous.
Could it be caused by the same issue as 1362120 - Disabling gfx.font_rendering.opentype_svg.enabled causes bookmark star to be black instead of blue?

Yes, in fact you're right — with my about:config value changed to the following, the download complete icon is now back to blue (looks like a darker blue than previous builds, though . . . . . . . . . thanks for your heads-up, mate.Soothsayer wrote:I was just reading about something similar to this.ChewInternetExplorer wrote:Previously, after a download was complete, the icon on the Toolbar would change to blue — now, the icon changes to a black color which is quite inconspicuous.

Re: [Ext] Classic Theme Restorer
I think I will learn to give up Classic Theme Restorer once Firefox 57 is official though it is sad
Main reason is because Firefox with e10s enabled is so much faster and actually gives you your memory back after closing tabs. I just hope it is well worth it to get this. Sure it uses more memory but that is why I have 32 GB of ram.

BTW Classic Theme Restorer is compatible with e10s.
