kaz4ikeda wrote:"Long press" feature is tremendously useful and most of my action is using this feature.
But this feature doesn't work just after moving to a previous or a next page by back or forward button (or Alt+arrrow-key).
It begins to work only after F5 refresh.
Is this avoided by some settings or some workarround?
(My environment: Firefox58 on Windows10 64bit)
"Long press" for translate single word?
I'm sorry, but I can not reproduce your problem
My browser: Firefox 58.0.2
The problem occur with both single word and selected text.
Example of the sites are:
Some addon confilct?
My addons are:
- Cookie AutoDelete
- Flash Video Downloader
- Open Tabs Next to Current
- Print Edit WE
- Print to PDF
- S3.Translator
- Select After Closing Current
- uBlock Origin
- Yet Another Smooth Scrolling WE
- Tree Style Tab
- Multiple Tab Handler
But disabling all addons except S3.Translator did not solve the problem.
My browser is also Firefox 58.0.2
Hello Olexandr!
Can you please make small actualization of S3.Translator?
I use Mozilla Firefox on Linux Ubuntu, and on translation of selected text doesn't work.
Thank you
Additional informations:
I have on computer Ubuntu, Firefox and S3.Translator all the newest version.
(all software I have the newest version)
pag77: I think, that it doesn't depend from website.
It sometimes work OK and sometimes doesn't work correctly.
Problems start after big changes in addons system standards of Mozilla Firefox. Before all work fully correctly.
After select of text, it always display button for translation, but when I click on translation button, it doesn't always open windows with translated text.

I have a feature request: Google Translate displays synonyms when I only translate one word could you add this function to the floating window, or make it clickable with an icon?

That is, a second target language: If the detected language matches the first target language, then translate it to the second target language.
I also second this.

this is already in the work plan for future versions
Hi, nice plugin congratulations. I have a question.
I'm using three monitors.
The translation window is stuck on one monitor. I can't drag it to other monitors. What can I do?
Sharcs wrote:I use Wordpress to make sites and your addon keeps adding code when I'm editing pages.
If I select any text while using the visual view in the editor, it adds code that can only be seen using the code view in the editor.
Is there a way of stopping it from doing this?
this code is automatically deleted after the hiding of the mini buttons
Sorry for the late reply.
Anyways, the code does not get deleted. Once it appears it stays on permanently unless deleted manually.
Maybe there's a setting to turn off the translator on certain domains?
zamar27 wrote:I'm trying the latest S3 addon for Chrome. Is it possible to show its popup window continuosly open ONLY on pages with certain language like Chineses? Once I open or switch to a tab with different language like English, the popup window should auto close. Once I returned to Chinese tab, the popup should auto open again. This feature can use already stored by the addon data on the list of sites to translate. Or, it can use a new "List of Launguages to auto open the popup window". THis feature would be very useful, since a user wouldn't need to click the button to open and close the popup. Thanks for your great helper program!
Example of use:
when a user browses automatically translated to English or Chinese pages, its often needed to enter some search terms to search the Chinese portal. You usually enter them in S3 popup window, translate to Chinese, then enter into Search field on the Chinese portal. So the S3 popup should be always open, but only on Chinese pages. On English pages or another native for the user language, there is no need to keep the popup open.
I would suggest the similar features!

Great suggestion. As a linguist myself I believe I would find this feature very useful!
hi dear
In the latest version of Firefox, right-to-left text is not properly supported.
For arabic / persian text, need to set direction:rtl in css styles
