In some cases, you have to disable NoScript in the add-ons manager to get the Forecast Fox settings to stick.

1. Disable NoScript
2. Restart FX
3. Set up Forecast Fox
4. Re-enable Noscript
5. Restart FX
Win7 Pro SP1 64 Bit
Comodo Internet Security
Pale Moon 33.0.1, Epyrus Mail 2.1.2, Firefox 115.8.0esr, Thunderbird 115.8.1, and SeaMonkey 2.53.18

Thanks. That's a big hassle. I assume people have looked into other, quicker workarounds, correct?

You're welcome. I haven't heard of any other workaround. NoScript is a good add-on, but sometimes it can be a pain.

I am experiencing some startup issues with ForecastFox 4.11 and FF-ESR-52.4
At startup, after FF starts, Forecastfox is on toolbar with blue umbrella icon.
At this time FF responds to user commands.
Then follows an interval of 2-5 seconds of total hang
Afterwards, Forecastfox icon changes to current weather info and FF resumes respoding.

Since it may be related to FF overall sluggish behaviour, I included this info in a bugreport to Mozilla as well: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1424684#c1.

Does Forecastfox make API calls that are blocking (during initialization)?

Would be good to have the Moon Phases info displayed on the pop-up window as well.

Can this be done?

When you install the addon you get a button to place anywhere you want!

I've put mine on the bookmarks toolbar. When you click that button you get a "Pop-Up window" / a "<div>" or something like that. I'm referring to that "popup"...

(i'm sorry, but i don't know where to add screenshot and i'm in a bit of a hurry... sorry...)

Thank you for ForecastFox (Fix). It's the best thing going if you want/need a weather extension for Firefox!

However, since the update to Firefox Quantum (Firefox 57), I have noticed a problem. This problem mostly appears when viewing a document in Google Docs/Drive. I've attached a screenshot. This problem forces my computer to slow WAY down, as the swap file takes over the monstrous task that is imposed. Firefox 57 reports that a script associated with ForecastFox (Fix) is slowing the system down. This situation essentially locks my system up for up to 20 minutes at a time. In the interim, I've taken to disabling ForecastFox (Fix) whenever I use Google Docs/Drive.

My system is runnning PCLinuxOS, and Firefox is updated to the latest version.

Thanks for the extension, and thanks for taking a look at this issue!
