Yes, there are 7 letters in Mozilla, but only 6 of them are unique letters. I really don't know why they made the question/answer that way. It's like whoever setup the captcha thought, "Let's use this 'GOTCHA' setting".

by the way: If you are going to register in order to write a bug report, you'll be going through the registration process. There is the question to be answerde „How many letters in Mozilla“ and the correct answer , of course, is 7. Neither 7 nor seven is accepted. PROOF: M1 O2 Z3 I4 L5 L6 A7. You need to put 6 as answer, for no meaningful reason.
This forum like many does not allow attachments due to spamming and spamming is why new members first post post approval is in place.

Six is more correct in this case as it is about the letters (and not the combined total) in which there are six of them in Mozilla and not 6+1

I have the same problem.

Code: Select all

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:63.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/63.0
and Forecastfox 4.19

It had been working but after a power outage my Forecastfox was reset to the default values. Now I get the same message quoted above.

I also tried in a brand new profile and it's still displaying "This page cannot load Google Maps correctly" when trying to configure my location.

Wow! I have the exact same problem too. There was a power outage and now it's stuck on "This page cannot load Google Maps correctly".

Hope the dev fixes this.

Hello,
I've noticed no changes in the files (except version number in the manifest) from version 4.19 to version 4.20 (Firefox extension)???

you are right, the changes were only on the outside of the second part of the extension.
version 4.20 was made to notify users about solving the problem with the API for Google Maps

A lot of us still use Forecastfox 2.4.8 since we do not like the display on the newer versions. We prefer it as just a small toolbar like what 2.4.8 had, as opposed to opening up a whole new tab just to see the current forecast. That said, for some reason, 2.4.8 will not add any new locations any longer. It says some nonsense about not being able to detect my current location in google maps, which the program should not care about, since I want to get the weather for someplace where I not currently. Can you fix this ? ? ? ?

Now we know why City Search does not work. Something about jQuery no longer being supported ... See all info from the developers notes below:

Original Forecastfox Weather add-on for Mozilla Firefox is abandoned October 6, 2012: https://addons.mozilla.org/addon/forecastfox-weather/

Does it mean its death? Of course not! It has been reborn! I brought it back to life!
Now it is called Forecastfox (fix version) and works with all Firefox versions.

=====================
!!!!! About version 4.x !!!!!
=====================
Sorry, but the statusbar/addonbar is missing in new versions of Firefox.
The current version of Forecastfox is the version for the new API: WebExtensions (supported Firefox and Google Chrome)

WebExtensions not supported "statusbar/addonbar" from xul-addons like as "Addon-bar restored", "Status-4-ever" , etc
These are the inevitable changes in Firefox - all Xul-addons is die in Firefox 57 (November 2017) https://blog.mozilla.org/addons/2017/02/16/the-road-to-firefox-57-compatibility-milestones/
Forecastfox WebExtensions Features:
1. Addon Permissions: Access your data for all websites
2. Forecast bar now has 2 mode: Vertical (by default) and Horizontal
3. Forecast bar will not be displayed on some sites from mozilla.org and google.com
4. Forecast bar will not be displayed on sites that do not have pages, for example error 404 (page not found)
5. Forecast bar will not be displayed on internal Firefox and GoogleChrome pages, for example about:addons , about:config , chrome://extensions/ , chrome://settings/ , etc.
6. Forecast bar will not be displayed on the WebExtensions pages "moz-extension://...." , "chrome-extension://...."
7. Forecast bar may not be displayed correctly on some sites. In this case, report the problem on the forum

Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for understanding!
PS:
version 2.4.8 (last for XUL-technology) - is broken: City search does not work
I could not fix and make version 2.4.9, because 2.4.8 uses the outdated version of jQuery
jQuery 1.x is now forbidden by Mozilla, read more: https://bit.ly/1TRIyZY
and I had to choose - either completely rewrite code for WebExtensions (version 3.4) or completely rewrite code for a new jQuery (version 2.4.9)
I chose WebExtensions.
Sorry!

major problem for 3rd-party builds - they are not signed, the code is not verified (on anything). so some need to modify firefox to accept not signed builds. the option to upload new legacy extensions has been phased out a year ago and uploading modified builds from existing authors 6 month ago.
using such legacy builds will force users to lower firefox security beside an outdated and vulnerable 52esr.
