Yes, issue is in win32 Nightly builds.
Radar is the only thing not updating, the weather is fine, and seems to be updating as it should.
I doubt waiting for next Nightly is going to make any difference, since I've checked every Nightly build since it stopped worked as noted.
I am wondering if the change from bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1202085 that the change to the way image cache is being handled is maybe responsible.
I'm not a coder, so I can't really say. I think something is going to have to be worked-around in the ForecastFox addon to get the radar updating again. Waiting on Nightly's to clear it up I don't his going to happen.

Re: [EXT] Forecastfox (fix version)
Yesterday I noticed that forecastfox disappeared from my menubar. I've managed to make it show up again with the help of quoted above instruction. But if I try to make any changes below the weather icons block via chrome://forecastfox/content/options/options.html, forecastfox disappears and I have to "reset" it with the help of quoted above instruction.pag77 wrote:85rx-7se, ok...
* uninstall or disable ForecastFox
* restart browser
* delete forecastfox.sqlite from your browser-profile
* cut out "forecastfox..." from values, example:
browser.uiCustomization.state
remove: ,"forecastfox-menubar-spring"
* install or enable Forecastfox
* restart browser
Does anyone have the same issue or is it something special on my side (some extension update or anything else)? Is there a way to debug this kind of issue?

move Zoom Magnifier (No Squint) to another place
unfortunately, Accuweather does not support the random parameters to delete cacheTheVisitor wrote:I'm not a coder, so I can't really say. Example, normal radar-image-link for New-York:
Code: Select all

Searching in Costomizing was the first step I tried. But it wasn't there. Or I missed it...Open Customizing: View:Toolbars:Customize or type in adress-bar about:customizing
if you find it there - then follow these steps:
move Forecastfox to toolbar
close Customizing
open Forecastfox settings
move Forecastfox to another place
close Forecastfox settings

Re: [EXT] Forecastfox (fix version)
That was the first thing I tried. It usually works, but the Zoom Icon seems to be pinned somehow to the icons used
by Forecast Fox ... Perhaps you should try installing Forecast Fox and No Squint in Windows 10 system with Firefox 42
See if it does it for you. If it does, then the issue becomes: Is it No Squint ? .. Is it Forecast Fox ? ? .. Is it Firefox 42 ? ? ?
Is it something Windows 10 is doing ? ? ? ?

Re: [EXT] Forecastfox (fix version)
I have already tried to do it, but I did not have your problem.85rx-7se wrote:Perhaps you should try installing Forecast Fox and No Squint
you have to "play" with the change of location for ForecastFox and NoSquint..
maybe can help these steps:
* uninstall or disable NoSquint
* restart browser
* open about:config
* search "nosquint" in values
* cut out "nosquint..." from values, example:
browser.uiCustomization.state
remove: ,"nosquint-button-reduce","nosquint-button-reset", etc...
* install or enable NoSquint
* restart browser

Re: [EXT] Forecastfox (fix version)
@pag77
So, do you know if the radar image .gif is being cached at all ?
Direct connecting to the link seems to work. Any idea what may have changed the in 'bad' changeset I posted a list above, that could be preventing the query/update to the radar gif to not work ?
EDIT: Tried deleting Accuweather cookies, no help. Still not updating on the latest hourly m-c (Nightly) builds.
I can manually update the link http://sirocco.accuweather.com/nx_mosai ... sirIN_.gif in another tab, and ForecastFox picks up the new .gif, only if I manually reload the link.
Seems that ForecastFox had this issue once before, but I can't recall the 'fix'.

Accuweather gives the correct headings, without caching images.
it's probably some kind of bugs in browser...
maybe you need to send a report to bugzilla?

Re: [EXT] Forecastfox (fix version)
Well, it's exactly one month since I posted my comments on Forcastfox. So I guess I can assume there's no comments about my comments!
FWIW, one update since I made those comments, specifically the one about zooming (comment 3), and using the link I posted there for a more localized map in place of zooming. I create a custom button (with the button icon placed next to the Forcastfox icons) to display that page when I hover the mouse over the custom button's icon just like Forcastfox's Radar icon. Like Forcastfox's Radar icon I can dismiss the map (close the tab my custom button creates) when not hovering over the custom button icon. And also like Forcastfox's Radar icon I can click the custom button icon to open the page in another tab. You could argue that I might as well just not use Forcastfox's Radar but keeping it allows me to have both my localize display using my custom button and a wider range display using Forcastfox's Radar. Admittedly this is specific to my area but a zoom level would be a far cleaner general solution.

First of all I want to report that all of the data are obtained from the AccuWeather-XML
This means that the data in XML could differ from data on the website
> 1. Using zips to set location.
fixed.
1. please install: https://www.dropbox.com/s/asmixa9ds37y8 ... x.xpi?dl=0
2. delete city with postal code
3. add city with postal code
> 2. AccuWeather map animation.
is a feature AccuWeather and I can not fix it
> 3. Map "zoom" level.
XML from AccuWeather does not offer such a possibility
http://forecastfox3.accuweather.com/adc ... 0&langId=1
only one image:
<radar>
http://sirocco.accuweather.com/nx_mosai ... sirCAC.gif
</radar>
> 4. Some miscellaneous notes on stuff other than maps.
a)
15 minutes.
can not be changed.
but you can assign the 2 cities (first - by name, second - by postal code) and set up automatic switch with your desired interval
b)
It seems that this feature of Mac OS
but there is a solution for you:
1) open the settings Forecastfox
2) open mode Customization ( View:Toolbars:Customize or type in adress-bar about:customizing )
3) drag the panel Forecastfox
c)
d)
what do you mean?
