So I'm discussing Firefox vs. Chrome elsewhere and I am told that the Adblocker I use on Firefox cannot do what this Chrome Extension can do
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/deta ... jjbepjmble
namely they tell me it
"stops all adverts like any other adblock but has the added capability of you being able to stop the loading permanently of specific portions of a webpage on a right click (for example ads or scripts that pass the blocker). "
As an example they offer this:
vs.
So how can uBlock do that or if it can't, how can Firefox do that so that I can prove that this is not a Chrome-specific ability?

Sure, They've given me this example:Brummelchen wrote:forget this crap from chrome store - uBlock is best..

So they say Chrome's Adblock can quickly and easily block that entire flame burning and stuff around it in the upper right corner of that page.
Can uBlock do that and if not, what can on Firefox?

thx mighty - but i dont discuss problems with users here anywhere outside
you have ublock installed so get familiar with it:
https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock/wiki/Element-picker
at least a lot of your current extensions are not working or buggy.
read the comments please on the associated addon-pages
btw you could not really use chrome extensions in firefox, that totally nonsense, forget it.

Apologies for being late to the argument, was trying to find a half-decent place to upload screenshots. I found this adblock a few months back, and i have yet to find another adblock that does the same. This is a better example of what it can do, not just stuff like ads/scripts/videos, it can block any part of a page that you simply don't want loaded for whatever reason.

Yes, as Brummelchen said Ublock origin is the best adblocker extension out there and it is way lighter on your system then Adblock Plus.

screen shots are build as JPG with lots of artefacts,. i can not see what you use. at least i wont care because: either its an adblock or ublock clone. or just a stylish picker while ublock really block such requests instead not showning them. i also tried the next generation adblocker but currently crap. ublock ist not black/white, its lot of grey in every direction.

That's the part that's not clear to me either, when I right click with uBlock, everything is grey - how can you possibly *SEE* what you are blocking if it's all grey!?
