Cookie Quick Manager Extension badly rated by my Antivirus?

Post by Al_H »

Hi,
I have W10 fully updated + AVG antivirus; FF and several extensions
For some reason, I get alerts from my AVG antivirus alerting from "poorly rated privacy" in the Cookie Quick Manager Extension, but when I look in internet for any info related on this, the only thing I get are good reviews of that extension.

Any suggestions on the accuracy of the reasons for the "poorly rated" review?

Thanks in advance

Hi,
It's most probably a False Positive from AVG.
I suggest that you refer the matter to their forum.
It seems to happen quite a bit & maybe "they" are slow to update their data base?.

Be careful as AVG and Avast caused issues for users who installed Language Packs in Firefox. They gave a similar message of poorly rated, has a bad reputation, or it has a one star and suggested to have the antivirus client remove the language packs and it then destroyed the users previous session or even brick Firefox. This issue was one of the things that was fixed to prevent this issue in 62.0.2.
