I've had no issues whatsoever through several Firefox version upgrades with Odilatinam's extension, which can be found earlier in this thread.

Ever since the most recent Firefox update (38.0.5), Gmail Manager NG (0.6.5.3-fixFF32) fails to display the correct unread count for one of my gmail accounts. That is: Gmail Manager works perfectly fine for four of my five gmail accounts, but the toolbar icon for fifth account always shows "0" or "null" unread messages even when there are new messages in the account. I have gone line by line comparing the gmail settings for the "broken" gmail account with those of the "functioning" accounts - they appear to be identical, I have also deleted and reinstalled Firefox (including the profile folder) - the problem still exists. Can anyone recommend a solution?

Thanks.

I've noticed that problem also, and if gmail is the current open tab, new email topics aren't updated unless I refresh the page or go to view one of the new emails. It's pretty annoying. Hopefully someone will figure out how to fix it.

I, too, have just started experiencing this problem. The unread count for one of my two Gmail accounts updates properly; the other stays stuck at zero, even when I receive new emails.

I am using Firefox 38.0.5 on OS X 10.10.3. I am using Gmail Manager NG 0.6.5.3-fixFF32, which I believe is the most up-to-date version.

What workd for me:
- Installed Gmail Manager NG from here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... src=search
- Closed Firefox and opened it again
- Installed Gmail Manager NG (gmail_manager_ng-0.6.5.3-fixFF32.xpi) from here: https://github.com/ath0mas/firefox-gmai ... velop/dist
- Closed Firefox and opened it again, setup of account(s)
- Installed the slightly modified original Gmail Manager from here https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... rc=search; For the modification see this post: viewtopic.php?p=13750217#p13750217
- Closed Firefox and opened it again
- Deinstalled Gmail Manager NG
- Closed Firefox and opened it again
Now in all of my three accounts the correct amount of unread messages is shown.

OK, there is an even quicker method.

1) Just install the old version of Gmail Manager (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... rc=search;)
2) Close Firefox and open it again
3) Close it again
4) Go to your Firefox profile directory and open the folder "extensions"
5) Open the file {582195F5-92E7-40a0-A127-DB71295901D7}.xpi (it is a simple zip file)
6) Extract gmParser,js and gmServiceGmail.js
7) Edit gmparser.js as described in this post: viewtopic.php?p=13750217#p13750217 and save the file
8) Edit gmServiceGmail.js:
- Find the code block which starts with "Check if the email is hosted"
- Within this code block there are 2 blocks starting with this._loginURL, this._checkURL and this._atomURL
- Change the URL for the second this._loginURL (this is the one in the else-block) so that it says: this._loginURL = "https://accounts.google.com/ServiceLoginAuth";
9) Save the file
10) Add both files to the xpi file again so that they replace the original ones
11) This is it, it works again.

Hi, there.
Is there a way to let GM work on firefox 41 and higher ?
Can anyone "sign" it ?

Failing that, can anyone recommend a similar add-on which has the same functions?

This is probably my most-used add-on. So convenient.

I'd just like to add an opinion on that: it looks a bit flakey to me ... a lot of the commenters report problems with it: crashes, features not working, etc. .. It doesn't look like a viable alternative.

This gmail manager of Todd's that we're all crying over here is the original and the best and there is nothing else that has ever come close to matching its functionality - and I've tried 'em all (except the one above; I won't bother with that).

With the pending changes announced by Mozilla, https://blog.mozilla.org/addons/2015/08/21/the-future-of-developing-firefox-add-ons/, it's unlikely this thing will ever work properly again unless someone dedicates themselves to it wholly. I wish I had the skill set, but my expertise lies in other directions.
