Er? Did you miss the thread title? The first post?

I explain it all quite clearly.

Also perhaps you missed the part where I linked to a version that works for 1.5.0.x builds:

I reverted back to a non-places branch, because Places was too broken for my taste. I still can't figure why (I actually know why, but...) on earth Moz dev's insist on switching to Places.

At this point in time Places is just not ready for prime time. It should have been kept on the trunk until it was a lot more stable and had the features of the current bookmark system. Unfortunately they chose to bring it over to the Branch to get more testers on it. :-/

Ah well. It'll be nice once the dust settles I'm sure. Eventually they'll have it implemented so it has the features of the old bookmark system (It's one of the #1 things I like about Firefox). Already there's been considerable speedups using it so performance will probably increase as well.

Pardon me for not reading all of it.

It appears I was not the only one.

Would it be possible to make it trunk compatible?

I was considering making a QuTrunk version but I have gotten very busy lately and haven't gotten to doing it yet. (still) It's a bit more complicated due to the native theme rendering.

@Schrade

Can you give your view on that one ? »» Qute and Cute mismatch

In summary, how to avoid duplication of 300K packages (!!) for theme and menu ?
How to use the Qute theme icons for menus ? I did not find the trick to avoid the use of 2x300K packages !

What is the most compact solution for Qute theme+menu ?

Thanks.

Beats me. I didn't make CuteMenus 2. I bet you could edit it to use Qute's builtin graphics though.
