I'll see if I can reproduce the issue, thanks.

can you please disable all the other extensions and see if the issue still occurs, then enable one or two at a time restarting each time to see if the issue pops up with another extensions, thanks.

Well, this is embarising.

I originally decided which one was the problem by turning them off 1 at a time until the problem went away. I obviously missed turning off Addressbooks Synchronizer.

When I turn off either one (Synchronizer or Weather), the problem goes away.

I discovered a problem with Tbird 2.0.0.4 (and perhaps earlier) with ww2.1. Here is the situation. I leave tbird minimized to the system tray most of the time. After an hour or so, when I bring it back to the desktop world weather says it "cannot talk to server". I try refreshing with no success. Co-incident with the loss of communication, tbird starts using about 25% of my CPU. When I reboot tbird everything is ok, ditto when I turn off WW. When ww cannot talk to the server, I fired up my ethernet sniffer and did a refresh. There was no communication to the accuweather site so apparently the ww extension is stuck in some weird state.
thanks

I'll do some testing to see if I can make the calls a little less taxing or change the timeouts, etc.

Great job, Mel! I really like the new feel of it and I also like the statusbar icons. :)

I have some more work to do with adding options like source of weather data, theming and statusbar enhancements but figured ppl would enjoy this little bump with forecast, etc.

Enjoy! :)

Hi mrtech, I really love this extension & i thought the showing the weather in the status bar was a long due one & I really appreciate this being added. Since weather can be shown in the status bar now, can you pls add an option to disable the weather in the side bar? thunderbird adds an ugly second scroll bar when this add on is enabled. I'd rather have the weather shown in just the status bar.

Thanks
