Installing IE VIEW corrupsts FireFox

Post by dleone »

Hello,
I have been using IE View for many months without a problem, Today I updgraded to the newest version, and the next time I went into firefox it comes up with a window that says <window id = "main-window".... Anyway no toolbars, menus, nothing, just a window with stuff in it.

At first I thought that it was something corrupt on that machine, so I did the same thing on a second computer, and the exact same thing happened.

When I try to go into firefox -safe-mode the same thing happens.

Does anyone know how I can fix this without losing all my bookmarks, etc?

thank you

Close out Firefox and use MozBackup to save your profile: If the extensions file is corrupted I would not save the extensions (MozBackup will warn you about backing them up and doesn't recommend that you do so) Then reinstall FireFox....delete your Mozilla Profile folder, un install and reinstall FF.. You can then use MozBackup to restore your BookMarks and other data. You can get MozBackup here:

IE Tab 1.0.9.9 works very well in the latest Firefox Builds including BonEcho 2.0b1

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.6) Gecko/20060729 Firefox/1.5.0.6 - Build ID: 2006072904
