Nuttysman wrote:Not sure what you're asking. My version of TMP is 0.3.5.2 if that's what you mean.
No, I mean:
Since TMP+NoScript with your preferences still work for me, could you try to disable all the other extensions, keeping TMP and NoScript (latest version) and see if the problem persist?
If the problem goes away, reenabling the other extensions in groups will help in spotting the 3rd extension involved in this problem.
Thanks!

It's the IE Tab extension causing the problem.
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1419
There haven't been any updates to that extension and the problem only exists when I'm using your latest version.
Not a big deal since I rarely use the IE Tab but it would be nice to have them working together again.

If I have these three Extensions installed in:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.3) Gecko/20070309 Firefox/2.0.0.3 - Build ID: 2007030919
- IE Tab 1.3.2.20070427: http://ietab.mozdev.org/
- NoScript 1.1.4.8.070514: http://noscript.net
- Tab Mix Plus 0.3.5.2.070512: http://tmp.garyr.net
It disables the "Open Links that open in a new window to new tab" option in TMP.
I am not sure which one is conflicting with the other but removing NoScript 1.1.4.8.070514 and reverting to NoScript 1.1.4.8.070502, or removing IE Tab all together fixes the problem. It appears, since NoScript is the newer release, something that changed in it is causing the conflict.
I have posted this to the IE Tab and Tab Mix Plus Forums also to see if it can be resolved from both ends.

Blocking movies, flash etc
Hi, I love being able to selectively allow stuff. My connection is metered, i.e. download limits/month imposed by ISP. If I go to a page with an embedded movie in it, noscript blocks that unless I specifically allow it, but does it still download in the background, I wonder?
Thanks
Andy

And you've made the changelog.
And thanks for fixing this.

No it doesn't, it's preemptively prevented from loading as soon as its content type can be sniffed.

v 1.1.4.8.070520
x Resolved 070509 conflict with IETab + Tab Mix Plus causing some tab-diverted links to open in new windows (thanks to Nuttysman)
I'm certainly not suggesting that the changelog entry be changed -- after all, Nuttysman did all that work to find the specific extension conflict -- but just for the record I want to thank niko322 for reporting the problem first on 20 May 2007 07:39 pm UTC and providing me with a link I could test as well. I saw some good teamwork here. Thank you everyone.

People, I see some good teamwork as well, thank you everyone.
But this way I can also foresee a massive bug-hunting season coming...

I just upgraded to the latest version, and suddenly I have the same problem. Links from other applications (OE, for example), launch in a new window.
Incidentally, I also have those three extensions installed; will experiment a little...
