Thanks for replying, at least I know it is not just me! Hopefully MASA can fix this in 3.3.3.1.

By the way, do you know the difference between "TB3 Tabs" and "TB3 Tabs[NM]", it is something I have never figured out!

NM means "no messagepane". It means that ThunderBrowse won't hook into the message pane area. Instead, links in emails will open a new tab and your email browsing window will not be affected by ThunderBrowse.

Right now, there's a bug in the code that breaks the NM version of TB3 tabs. I've already submitted a fix as 3.3.4.

there is a bug in the last version 3.3.3 :
the messages doesn't display in the message panel :(
but they display fine in a new tab after double click
and then the messages display in the message panel

I reinstall back 3.3.2 version and all work fine :?

I just install the 3.3.4 version and all work fine now on both Thunderbird 3.1.* and 3.0.* :)

Thanks netMASA 8-)

Willl thunderbrowse outweigh the benefits of having separate instances of Firefox and Thunderbird.....as compared to in the past where they WERE combined as a Mozilla Suite??

ThunderBrowse Anchor links VS Browser links

Post by mitch77 »

Hi,

I want news letter "anchor' links that are meant to jump down to the selected story in the newsletter to do what they are designed to
*BUT*
I want all web page links to open in FireFox.

This is how all my previous versions of Thunderbird handled the two diff links.

I really do not want to read web pages in my email
and it really aggravating to click on one of the stories titles in a newsletter heading and have your browser open
and esp open to this:
ERROR:
"Firefox doesn't know how to open this address because the protocol (mailbox) isn't associated with any program."

So is there a fix for this? Can I get the two different link types to act as they should on a simple left click as they used to?
Will uninstalling ThunderBrowse return balance to my world ?
thnx much

Tb updated itself to v16.0.1 today and ThunderBrowse v3.81 stopped working. Will not open any links. Error console says:

Code: Select all

Error: Error: Permission denied for <mailbox://> to call method HTMLAnchorElement.toString
Source file: chrome://tbrowse/content/tburlclk.js
Line: 102

All was working fine until the Tb update.
All my signatures are stolen from other people. Including this one.

I think for me ThunderBrowse stopped working properly a while ago. Anyway, I am on Tunderbird 16.0.1 and ThunderBrowse 3.81. I found a message with a link and right clicked it with an "Open in new tab" and I then got the following in my error console:

ThunderBrowse: Turn off via click event.

ThunderBrowse: Grabbed: PRE [object HTMLPreElement]

ThunderBrowse: Stopped: PRE [object HTMLPreElement]

ThunderBrowse: Turn off via click event.

Timestamp: 12/10/2012 08:49:48
Error: Error: Permission denied for <mailbox://> to call method HTMLAnchorElement.toString

Error: ReferenceError: ownerDocs is not defined

I was using ThunderBrowse 3.82 with no problems until recently. Now the status bar dissapears and to make it reappear again I have to deactivate/activate ThunderBrowse (in one shot) and close/relaunch ThunderBird (v24.2.0). The strange thing is if I logout/relogin into my KDE 4.11.2 session the issue emerges again.

If I can be of any help by sending logs or reports I'll be glad to do it, but I will need step-by-step directions.
