Re: [Ext] ThunderBrowse 3.2.1.9 for Thunderbird

jimkillian wrote:OK, I didn't see it there because it actually says "Visit in Browser" and "visit" just isn't a word that I recognized at first -- I was looking for "View" and found "View Source" and not what I expected. Also, it would be nice to have a "Don't ask me this any more" checkbox on the confirmation dialog, since it's going to get old fast.

Next question: any chance of implementing the alt-left and alt-right arrow keys for back/forward? I'm sure I can learn to live without it, but right now it's a challenge!

Again, thanks!

Jim

Check about:commands for the key combos to back and forward (I believe it's currently ctrl-left and right because Thunderbird uses alt-left [you can always change it via keyconfig]).

As for asking to launch browser, please check the settings. There is a option called Ask to Launch Browser on middle click (it applies to the Visit in Browser as well). Uncheck it.

As for naming conventions, we'll probably be renaming most of the options and right click menus in 3.2.3.

Which makes me think Thunderbird is still trying to fetch messages or is compacting folders (more likely, it's compacting folders).

Just uploaded 3.2.2.1 (hopefully the only 4 digit version number in a long time). It fixes a compatibility problem with a the newer versions of shredder.

The fix also will remove almost all of the this._tabs errors you see in the error console (because the tabs file loads earlier).

No images

Hello,

I have just installed this add-on, which I find very useful.
But I can't show any images in the page.
Not even when I click show images in this mail in Thunderbird.

Am I doing something wrong?
Is there a check box somewhere to check?

Thanks for any help that you can give me.

Okay, folks, prettyplease keep replies to this SIMPLE, because while I'd call myself a power user in Windows and DOS, I'm not a programmer, I don't yet do Linux and never really did Unix, and a lot of what I see in the knowledge base doesn't tell me how to get at whatever it takes to configure or rewrite functions of Thunderbrowse.

Anyway, two things:

One, how do I get the sucker to accept cookies,
or alternately, how do I uninstall T'browse and set up
Firefox as the default browser? It's maddening to keep
getting the "you don't allow cookies so we aren't logging you in" message on websites and having to bail out to Firefox, often winding up with an error message when I do ("Sorry, you've already completed this page of our registration--but since you
didn't accept our cookie, we aren't letting you in anyway!! BWAAAAhahahahaha!!!!")[color=#0000FF]
. ](*,)

(The settings I can find so far in even the "advanced" options in Thunderbird itself don't seem to address this, nor do I know if changing something
there would also change T'browse.)

Two, is there a control somewhere in T'browse that
equals the "stop loading" command in other browsers? I can't find one, and just hitting "exit"
doesn't always work.

Thanks in advance for deconfusing me. #-o

Cookies are enabled by installing CS Lite into Thunderbird (You do have to configure it to Accept All or Allow All or whatever).

To set what browser to launch you go into the settings and put the path to firefox in for the textbox that says put the path to the custom browser you want to launch.

There is no stop button for ThunderBrowse. You can use a command to do so. In some cases, the native stop button for Thunderbird sometimes works. Optionally, can create a stop button via custom buttons too. I felt the URL bar was just too crowded for a stop button. Though I have considered replacing the refresh button with a stop/refresh button (like the one in firefox). I'm not too sure how I'm going to deal with it.
