I have a strange problem...
I have Java installed, if I go to java.com and click verify, it congratulates me for having it up and running. But Fast Dial tells me java is not available when I try to set it for java. As far as I know, it was working with java before, one thumbnail decided to try to refresh (no idea why, I didn't set it to) and now it's a broken image icon and can't refresh because java isn't available to Fast Dial for some reason. I've reinstalled java with no change. Any ideas?
PS. I am using Fast Dial 1.88 and Firefox 2.0.0.14.

1. Did you chose to install Mozilla Plugin when installing Java?
2. Is Java enabled in Firefox preferences on "Contents" tab?
You can test if java is available in Firefox by creating and opening in browser the following test html file:
If no message is shown, Java isn't available.

That script didn't load. So I did some poking around and found 4 more java testers aside from the one on Sun's page which told me everything was fine. Half said it all worked, half said it wasn't. In the end I completely removed any trace of Java and reinstalled it and it works now. Weird. Sun should fix their checker so it doesn't say everything is fine when it isn't.
Thanks for your help.

Fastdial Error 404 message
Hey Telega,
First let me say this is a kick azz extension for Firefox. I've been telling all my friends (the smart ones that use FF) about it. Recently, something has happened where i can no longer add items to Fastdial. If I click a bookmark to be added to Fastdial, it shows a button within the Fastdial tab, but shows the button as trying to refresh, then I get a "Fastdial Error" window that pops up and it says "Server Error:404 not found"
I haven't added anything recently to cause a conflict. This just came about within the past couple of days. Was there a new update recently? Any suggestions as to how to fix this? It's essentially a dead addon if i can't add the links anymore. Please help as I love using this addon. See below for a screen capture of the error message and the button trying to refresh on the bottom row.

Monkeyjunk23, please check what "Scale method" is specified in Fast Dial preferences. If it's "userlogos.org", then this is the reason. Userlogos.org has almost fully exhausted its monthly traffic bandwidth, so I temporary turned off scaling component on server. It will be back on since start of a new month. Till then please use other scale method.
P.S. nice logos you have.

Telega,
It's funny, I was looking through a couple of past strings and I noticed a comment about "Java" unrelated to this, but I remembered the "Java" option under scaling preferences. I had just made the change back and "whamo" it worked. I was coming back to tell you "never mind" and I saw your reply. Great minds think alike!! Nicely done my friend. Thank you for the logo comment. I did some of them by using Paint.net. Others were from the userlogos.org site. Again, you have made an awesome addon. I have set it as my Homepage for Firefox using "about:blank" as my homepage.
Thank you again for your help. You kick azz!
