This is a great add-on that I use all the time. Could you please add the option to allow the user to decide if they'd like to rename the file before saving? Thank you!

I use the icon to save my files and it pops up a screen with all the info regarding your save, including the file name at the top which you can change.
Cheers,
Keith

Is there anyway to get the url of the current page using this addon, rather than clicking on a link on the page?

This extension desperately needs an update for it to work with the latest versions of FF (and Nightly).
It's one of the most convenient extensions to save files directly where they belong.
I dunno what's wrong with it, technically, but it's not working properly. (version 2.5.5)
Please have a look at it sometime.

lol i just spent a few days porting this to nightly56 with mutiprocessing , replaced most of the download code with download.jsm though (and a few extra checks for better filenames ) and replaced a few lines were outdated javascript .. bit seems like you even ported it to quantum , nice work , a community which ports xul addons to quantum would be nice
basically all prefservice stuff from the old addons doesnt work anymore , prefservice1 is deprecated and maybe its better to just replace the whole prefs with a simple jsonfile to object loade/saver instead of using prefservice2, prefs are not loaded aitomatically from the addon´s defaults folder
for each loops and other outadeted js is removed
xul entry points are different in the browser.xul .. addons which use parentNode.firstChild.lastChild to get their xul elements will probably break
it would be nice to have a community of devs who just port the best stuff to post quantum ... then we can have the best of both worlds and everybody would be happy , the few important sdk addons can be ported to either xul or bootstrapped

I'm confused. This looks like a good addon, but I'm not sure which versions of Firefox are supported.
Looking for 56, 57, and 58.
Thank you.

but the user above must share it to use on 57/58/59 .. my version only works for 56, i can share it but its full of console logs and all the code i tried out (those parts are disabled though)
