Brad12's post appears to be a spam post. Hover over that so-called smiley and you'll see a link in it. I've reported it.

Does anyone know an alternative to MailTweak's "Address lines" feature, where you can reduce the number address-lines in the compose window?

howdy

take a look at the beginning of this post about making MT work in tb5 ...
viewtopic.php?p=11066363#p11066363

SOME of the tweaks will still work. try it and post back here if your fave tweak will work.

there is also this ...
https://nic-nac-project.org/~kaosmos/re ... rs-en.html
8) option to modify the number of rows for the addresses in the compose window (from 0.2.10 version). Note: this option was removed in 0.3.15 version.

he MIGHT add it back in or add it to one of his many other really nifty addons for tbird. ask him ... [*grin*]

I stumbled onto an extension Stationery 0.7.3 that has this feature. You can uncheck everything else in it's options if you want and it works fine.

I also emailed the author requesting his consideration to write up a separate extension for changing the number of address lines. I'll post back if it happens.

Update...I have in my possession an extension to be able to specify the number of address lines to display in the message compose window. It gives the option to select from 1 line up to 12 lines. I have tested and am now using it on XP and also another fellow member has tested it with Win7 and Linux. It works great.

I'm presently waiting on the extension writer to decide if he is going to put it up at AMO. I have permission to put it up at the Add-ons Mirror and have sent a message to Seamaiden asking for an address to send it to so it can be added.

Is there a way to make "Send & Watch" the default, rather than having to select File -> Send & Watch every time? It would be great if there were a checkbox under Collected Reply to do this. I like to watch the message as it is sent so I know if it hangs or sends right away, but I'm not going to use the file menu every time.

From http://mailtweak.mozdev.org/tweaks.html#collect under Collected Reply:
This tweak sends all messages (not only replies) through your Outbox, so that the Write window closes immediately.
To watch a message being sent, choose: File – Send & Watch

Obviously the Send & Watch feature can be turned off by unchecking "Collected Reply" in Mail Tweak Options. The problem is that only if the box is checked can you use the other features of collected reply, such as group replying. It's all or nothing, I wish there was a way to have one but not the other.
