In addition,
The extension confirmed that it functioned only on WindowsXP
Because I do not have the other OS. I can not confirm on the other OS.
However, this may work on the other OS because I do not use the function that is peculiar to windows.

Fixed Bug 438252 – Tag edits do not save when editing bookmark address at the same time.

I downloaded the XPI file and tried to install it as you suggested.
Now I get the following error:

Firefox could not install the file at

file:///C:/Downloads/patch_for_library-4.2-fx.xpi

because: Not a valid install package

Edit: It seems the problem is that the file I download is not the actual XPI.
The file is experimental, so login is required. When I right-click and save, the XPI is not saved - only the login redirector page is saved.

Update: Thank goodness for IE!
I was able to download the XPI using IE and then install it in FF.

Yeah. Thank you nxp. For several days, I haven't been able to install this extension (it's not the only one) because of this problem. I have to recover the bug on AMO... Quite boring...

Tried to use Patch For Library 4.2 under Fx 3.0 / Mac OS X with no success. No changes in the UI that I could notice. Library displays only Name and Description fields for smart folders.
