I'm having the same problem with menu items turning white and unreadable when I put the cursor on them. I wanted to try the menu.css suggested fix listed earlier, but can't locate menu.css. Will somebody assist me in locating it in XP SP2? Also, are there any other suggestions for correcting this issue? Thanks!

Argggg, I found my problem. You can't have icon and text displayed. only icons under customize toolbars.

Thanks, works great.

Hi Xavius
I posted this on the Tab Mix Plus list and was advised to ask here!
Below is what I posted there:-
New Tab button looks greyed out. When cursor is on it- it shows up - but only a tiny rectangle about a 1/3 size at the at top of the space allotted to it.

Otherwise Tab Mix Plus is wonderful!

I have attached a screen shot

I don't see any provision to post a screen shot here so you may be able to see it here.

I hope you are still updating this theme - I love it!

I have XP SP3, Firefox Version 3.1 Beta 2 (Build 20081201080242)
Theme is Phoenity Reborn 0.8.100
Tab Mix Plus Version 0.3.7.4pre.090107

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/7379

v.0.8.344
- this is a major update! a lot of bug fixes and big/small changes.
Nearly all images and icons have been tweaked and/or improved.
- removed the keyhole background etch (this simple change gives a new, more clear look to the whole theme)
- added grey PrivateMode locationbar background & PrivateMode searchbar background (Firefox 3.5+ only)
- Finally, added Phoenity sub-skins support!!! (menu icons, button icons and some eye-candies ^_^ )
Read below how to use them.

HoW CAN I USE SUB-SKINS AND HAVE MENU ICONS WITH MY PHOENITY THEME?
To enable sub-skins (menu icons and more), you have to create/edit the "userChrome.css" file in the
"chrome" folder, within your Firefox profile folder (install/use "Mr Tech Toolkit" extension if you
want an easy way for this).
If you need more help with this, use your search engine about "Firefox userChrome.css"
IMPORTANT:
If the file doesn't exist, create it!
If the file exists, open it, delete everything and go on reading below.

NOT all sub-skins are Firefox 3+ compatible. And not all sub-skins can be compatible or look good if
you have strange extensions or heavy customizations (maybe yes, maybe no).
I suggest you the following ones, so copy and paste, in your "userChrome.css" file, these
following 8 lines (after that, save the file and restart Firefox):

@import url("chrome://browser/skin/subskins/cutebuttons.css");
@import url("chrome://browser/skin/subskins/toolbar_dividers.css");
@import url("chrome://browser/skin/subskins/cutemenus.css");
@import url("chrome://browser/skin/subskins/cutemenusnew.css");
@import url("chrome://browser/skin/subskins/cutermenus.css");
@import url("chrome://browser/skin/subskins/dropmarkers.css");
@import url("chrome://browser/skin/subskins/securitybar.css");
@import url("chrome://browser/skin/subskins/cleantreechildren.css");
@import url("chrome://browser/skin/subskins/twisty.css");

hi hman, Phoenity Reborn is really wonderful on Linux! (except for the bug, obviously)
using the previous version, everything was ok, right?

I don't have Linux at the moment, so I will need your help for testing and debugging this.....

PS please, try Phoenity Classic (there are some difference between them) and tell me if there is the same bug or not, so I can try to compare the codes, searching the bug

I keep forgetting to thank you. This new version, compatible with Fx 3.5, is great!
I have been using this theme for my default browser since like a year.
It looks so much cleaner than most themes, which are dark or have awkard images.

I just think, the tab button provided by Tabmix Plus doesn't look good in all Phoenity versions:

Transparent background would look much better.

I really love these themes. I used the original Phoenity Theme for many years. :)

Thank you very much Xavius for this update! I love it. I'm using it in FF 3.5 on Windows 7 RC 7100 ATM and all works perfectly!

@StoneCold, what is the result using the default theme?

Default theme and tabmix plus fit perfectly:

Image

Other themes provided a transparent tab button in the past. In previous Firefox versions, you just got a new tab button with TabMix Plus/Tabbrowser Preferences. Some of the themes had nice buttons, which look much better, than the Phoenity button now looks.

@stonecold
now I got it. You don't like the new tab button icon, that Phoenity has... you would prefer a button without icon, instead of that
right?

I have some problems with Tabmix Plus extension, but I will try something

The new tab button (also provided by Firefox without TabMix Plus, the extension just allows moving the button to the left side, normally the button is on right side of the most right tab) doesn't fit.

The button would be ok, if the borders would be transparent. I'm fine with an icon, the current icon is ok, but it should have transparent borders.

I hope I havn't confused you even more. :)

This affects both Phoenity Themes, Reborn and Classic.

Edit:

Here is a screenshot (not very good, I suck with graphic stuff, sorry), which should show what I mean:

Image

With the transparent borders it looks much better.

And one last thing, why is there so much space between the "Back" and "Forward" buttons, when I'm using small toolbar layout? I added a green arrow to the picture, which should show, what I mean.
