That is because the extension has not been updated in a long, long time. You can try the extension in my signature for undoing closed tabs.

I'd use it for sure if you added tab bar middleclick support. Currently I'm using tabmix, but it has some annoying issues if you open a non-blank page in new tabs.

If you add a boolean browser.sessionstore.enabled (true) to about:config it should work (but doesn't add much beside some UI Hooks). A new version should follow later.

I know SM 2.0 has undo close tab included but I'm looking for a way to perform undo close tab by middle clicking the blank tab bar space or the close tab button and also option via context menu as in this undoclosetab extension to do this in SM 1.1.*. Any idea how to add these functions in SM 2.0? I tried to make the existing extension work but to no avail, somehow SM 2.0 implementation is quite different from FF. Any scrap of code to share or point me in the right direction would be appreciated if no extension is available.

*Update: I got it working. I removed the sessionstore boolean elements.
