Option button in Composer Dialog Box

Not really a bug, but the button is really annoying. It appears in the open file dialog box when adding a link and has to be clicked to make the file appearance options show up. I'd like to see it disappear and the file options pop down list permanent. The button just adds an unnecessary step. I'd also like to see the last choice of file type stick for a given session of Composer use.
