problems with youtube

Post by andalou »

I'm using SeaMonkey 2.22 on Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium.
Whenever I go to youtube and try to put a comment on a video, a google+
popup appears and then disappears. I'm already registered to google+ but I
cannot put any comment on a youtube video. With Internet Explorer I
don't have this problem.

Many thanks in advance,

Create a new profile and check whether you see the same issue in it too
you can create/manage/switch profiles using tools ==>switch profile

Are you using NoScript?
If so, try the development build.
Fire 750, bring back 250.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.19) Gecko/20110420 SeaMonkey/2.0.14 Pinball CopyURL+ FetchTextURL FlashGot NoScript

Thanks vazhavandan, it worked perfectly with another profile, but where
may lie the problem with the original profile? How can I get it to work
with the original profile?

See this thread:
viewtopic.php?f=38&t=2767529

It would appear that in the interest of expanding their tracking network and working against the best-interests of their users, Google/YouTube now requires enabling 3rd party cookies in order to make comments on YouTube. Just more evil from the "don't be evil" company.
Tip of the day: If it has "toolbar" in the name, it's crap.
