All plugins disappeared.

Post by patrickjdempsey »

Here's a strange problem I've never encountered before. SeaMonkey says I have no plugins installed on this computer. Firefox shows about a dozen. Going to try to reboot machine. Any other suggestions?

Restart didn't help. But I decided to delete almost everything in my profile and let it rebuild since I've been having some profile-related weirdness lately anyway. That fixed it.

Maybe somehow SeaMonkey Preferences > Advanced > Scripts & Plugins > Enable plugins for, Suite got un-checked?

Neat, that does it.
Didn't even remember that UI was there.

Though I would still like Bug 726147 - RFE: Command Line Option to set plugin.disable ;-).

Hmmm... don't recall ever touching that but who knows. It certainly creates the same symptoms.
