[SOLVED] Google-search bug

Post by MagnumOpus »

I first noticed this problem with SeaMonkey 2.38.
Initial Google search works fine; later searches stall--nothing happens.
Private data must be cleared for Google search to work again.

Tested SeaMonkey 2.38 with DuckDuckGo search; no problems.
Tested D+ browser with Google search; no problems.
Running Windows XP SP3 with all Microsoft updates.
Thanks.

I was referring to this:
Tools ==> Clear Private Data
Specifically beyond that, I don't know.

But you do.
Particular items are selected for clearing.
So which do you have selected?

(I believe there was a thread last week in the FF forums... ?)
Fire 750, bring back 250.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.19) Gecko/20110420 SeaMonkey/2.0.14 Pinball CopyURL+ FetchTextURL FlashGot NoScript

Oops, completely overlooked that!
I checked all available boxes, then cleared data.

Thanks for the FF link; that's exactly what I was experiencing.
But now it's working OK, so apparently it was a Google bug.
