"Allow popups from This Site" doesn't work

Post by Justinh »

On the Tools menu, select "Popups Manager"
on the flyout, select "Allow popups from This Site" - this brings up the Data Manager dialog/Permissions tab
-> this is the first bug, it should just set the permission for me, as implied by the cmd name

In the Data Manager dialog/Permissions tab, hit the Add button for the pre-populated permission type of "Open Popup Windows" and the pre-populated site domain/URL field - get a warning dialog saying "The url entered is not valid"
-> this is the second bug, it should have populated the field with a valid URL (I had to add 'http://' in front of the text that was put there for me

It's bugged, you know... ;-)

To manage e.g. popup windows go to:
Menu -> View -> "Page Info" (or just hit Ctrl+i) -> "Permissions" tab -> set "Open Popup Windows" as you want

Works?

This should be fixed in the upcoming 2.48. I reworked the menu to align it with the cookie and image manager menu. Starting with 2.45 you need to enter the scheme too. The permissions are now pricipal based.

I'll have to try the 'page info' method next time. Thanks for the info!

frg, that sounds good. But what is 'scheme'? I'm on 2.46 now.

Usually http https here e.g. you need to enter https://www.blablabla.com This should work in 2.46. If not please file a bug. Need to look at it anyway because files:// seems to be broken.
