How to know when a fix is in a build?
OK, so I found the bug that's bugging me (http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=142196) and I've seen someone propose a fix. Is there a way to know when this fix will be in a nightly?

Three methods:
1) Add yourself to the CC list on the Bugzilla bug. Every time someone adds a new comment to the bug you'll be sent an email. Eventually you'll receive an email that says the patch has been checked in, and the bug verified as fixed.
2) Click the New Checkins link on the Mozilla homepage.
3) Download the source code and build a version with the fix in it yourself

you can look here, if it is in the list of checkins of last 2 days
http://www.mozillanews.org/bonsai.php3
or directly look at that bug in bugzilla.
You also can add your mailaddress to cc in that bug,
but don´t post a comment since people don´t want to know that you just added yourself to the list. Then you get each and every comment, not just the one that the bug is fixed (or marked wontfix).

The process is for the patch to get reviewed, get super-reviewed, checked into the trunk, and then wait for a build to be created on the trunk. Getting yourself on the CC list to watch the action.

Patch already has super-review
bim wrote:Thanks for the info! It seems like it will take a while before this proposed fix gets in (reviewed and super-reviewed sounds time consuming). I did put myself in the CC-list, so I guess I'll now know when these things have hapenned.
If you look bug 142196, you'll notice that the fix already has a super-review (that's what the "sr=sspitzer" in comment 62 means). So basically, it just needs a review ("r=") to get checked in to the trunk. However, there seems to be some concern that the patch doesn't fix Unix so it might get delayed if they decide to tackle that issue now (though the comments suggest that that will probably be left until later).
