SeaMonkey 2.1b2: how to open search in new window?
In SeaMonkey 2.1b2 I can't see an option to do what has always been standard behaviour in Seamonkey: when I select a text on a web page and choose "search google for..." from the context menu I want the search results to open in a new window but they always open in a new tab. I've tried all tabbed browsing setting but without success.

The pref I see in SM2.0.11 is "Browser -> Internet Search -> Search Results -> Open a tab instead of a window for a context menu web search". Does that exist in SM2.1b2 and if so, what is it set to?

Unfortunately it got lost in the move to using the Firefox openSearch backend. Currently it is hardcoded to open in a new tab (we just copied that part of the code from Firefox).
Please file a new bug (Product: SeaMonkey, Component: Search) and cc me.
Thanks.

Okay, here it is: Add option to open context menu web search in new window (regression after SM2.0)
It would be bad to see this feature go away, this is one of the small things that makes me choose SM over FF. Tabbed browsing is great but I find it's overused in FF - windows have their use as well, let's remember that!

Should be Shift (|Ctrl|Alt|...) toggle-able too IMO.
(I think Link Behavior is? Or at least kind of remember Benoit often mentioning something like that.)

Fire 750, bring back 250.

I am happy to see I can now open search in new window in SM 2.1b3.
Special thanks to Phil and all others who worked on this bug!
