Some sort of browser sniffing, I wonder? The thing I find interesting in the images is that the headline is different in Opera than it is in IE and Firefox/SM. If you look carefully, SM and IE have "compress.php, kotopyj ob'jedinit" and Opera has "compress.php. Ob'jedinit". (Transliterated) And for me -- using SM trunk nightly 2.16a1, IE8 and Opera 12.02 -- they all read ""compress.php, kotopyj ob'jedinit"".
But then again, I may be wrong.

Reason: image was too big at 1,280px × 1,024px, either use thumbnail link or direct link for such sizes.

Is it possible that your default sans serif font is broken? What happens if you select a different font in Edit | Preferences | Appearance | Fonts to be your default sans serif font?
But then again, I may be wrong.

1) I find diffirences
It's only checkbox "Allow documents to use other fonts"

http://img-fotki.yandex.ru/get/6520/122 ... 74346_orig

http://img-fotki.yandex.ru/get/6423/122 ... 6eabd_orig

2) I reinstall all fonts from page with Seamonkey font settings and rebuilt font cache by
"fc-cache -f -v"
but all remain without changes.
May be it is Ubuntu (12.10) or MATE error?

3) O-o. I will try it on other DE now...

4) Yes. In Openbox where are OK in both cases ( checkbox "Allow documents to use other fonts").
MATE generates this error probably :(

5) I find what MATE builds packages for 12.10
http://wiki.mate-desktop.org/download?&#ubuntu_quantal_quetzal_1210_repository
and install it, but errors stays.

My guess would be that the Ubuntu font is broken. This may help, http://askubuntu.com/questions/136835/broken-fonts-problem-with-ubuntu-11-10.
But then again, I may be wrong.

Mate DE i believe is not yet a mature desktop.
Please use a more stable DE like cinnamon to get a GNOME 2.x look on GNOME 3.X environment which is available on many distros
You can find Cinnamon screenshots from openSUSE here
